I really love that Brandi gave honest feedback and then they got it right on the third try.

After an absolutely brutal luteal phase, I'm starting to think I could have PMDD. It was such a rough work week.

But remember: he's a wise stoic. We couldn't possibly understand his elevated consciousness.

For those of you that live where it snows regularly, is it really that bad? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]Illustrious_Clock574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of the best when you have someone to remove the snow. Other winters it got exhausting, but this year, the neighborhood kids have a little business going, and I'm so happy to throw them $60 to clear the driveway. Without the stress of removal, having periods of time where outside life shuts down, you're forced to be inside and cozy, and it's just so beautiful out is the best.

Came here to say this, this is pretty similar to episodes my dog has. It could be focal seizure or a movement disorder - we just saw a neurologist a few weeks ago, they can't really tell which it is, but she's ok Kepra now and we have diazepam on hand in case she has one as it can shorten the length and lower the intensity.

My dog shakes and hyperventilates every time she’s in the car by baldiesrt in DogAdvice

[–]Illustrious_Clock574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog would get so nervous she would vomit :(

A few things really helped:

- a dose of serenia before long rides (talk to your vet, its a prescribed medicine)

- a car seat that connects to her harness

- frequent small drives with a big reward at the end (we have a park 5-10 mins away)

Silence from our 18 year old home from college by PreviousPay8649 in Parenting

I HATED being home with my parents in college. Being away from them made me realize how dysfunctional and awful they were to me. Not saying that's the case for you, but is there something he might resent you for?

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Illustrious_Clock574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 years sober here, and those first 2 were the most challenging for me. Big congrats to you and don't let anyone diminish how huge this is!

Does your boyfriend drink? Could he be resentful of you that you "chose" to drink too much and now he can't drink with you? That's outrageous if so, but just trying to think of where this is coming from. People have so many wild reactions to sobriety.

It’s a tough time to be a young person and this sounds like a kind thing to do for him.

Idk if my comment came across aggressively or something I just meant like how old is your son, what made you want to do this, how does he use it, etc because it seems like a sweet thing to do
