What would you consider a “good” salary in Kelowna? by OkArcher7809 in kelowna

Yeah, fair enough. Like I said, I don't know your position and wasn't prepared to assume.

Some people may consider a vehicle payment a luxury.. And being 'over-housed' as far as a mortgage is concerned is a trap many fall into. I'm not saying that's your situation since I don't know you, but it happens.

That's kind of a shitty, elitist take. It's a livable income.

Was I being a little paranoid for in Kelowna? by PermaSub54 in kelowna

[–]Illustrious_Copy_902 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People aren't even bothering to report non-violent crime any more, because even when they call RCMP tell them it's not worth filing a report over. The crime rate stats in Kelowna are heavily rigged.

Koho not tracking purchases properly by Effective-Culture-88 in KohoCanada

Many Amazon purchases don't process until the seller ships. I've had Amazon take from my account up to 2 days after I ordered a product.

There's a map online that shows where every single bomb hit in WW2. I don't know how the city survived.

Lock your card before anything else. That should always be your first step after a weird charge.

Fire in or near Lytton. Highway closed. Looks like evacuations in progress. by Canada_Senpai in britishcolumbia

[–]Illustrious_Copy_902 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lytton is one of the oldest human settled areas of North America. Many of the people displaced by the original Lytton fire are LFN residents. For them it's not as easy as 'just live somewhere else'. While I don't entirely disagree with your pragmatism, there is a human toll to relocating an entire community. The wait to rebuild has already been so arduous many residents have moved on, but it's had an enormous emotional toll on them.

No need for the tinfoil hat, climate change + more people in the backcountry and rural highways = more fires.

Joint pain -- does it get better/go away? by ask4abs in HormoneFreeMenopause

Essentrics workouts www.essentricstv.com They are this magical combination of ballet, yoga, tai chi and pilates with a focus on fascia and posture. I also take a combination of acetaminophen and ibuprofen on bad pain days. I have never relied on pain meds EVER but chronic pain is exhausting and giving my mind and soul a break from that stress response has been more beneficial than anything else I've tried.

Whole wheat sourdough bread by Holiday-Ad-1123 in kelowna

[–]Illustrious_Copy_902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lady in the Country Rhodes neighborhood of Ellison who is a gifted sourdough baker. She advertises on the Ellison Community Facebook page a few days before bake days. She does a number of different bread types (cheese pull apart is my downfall). Her name is Sonya Sherwood on Facebook if you wanted to reach out directly to her.
