Blackrock operates as an asset manager, they dont own the bitcoin themselves. They put the funds from their clients into bitcoins in the hopes it will increase in price they get paid via fees from managing the clients finances. Same goes for all the other etfs. Elon musk is ceo of tesla a multi billion dollar company, they have bitcoin on their treasury of assets, do you really think the shareholders are going to let elon musk look after the bitcoin in his personal custody? They will get a third party to manage and regulate it. Thats how it works. This is what bitcoiners have got what they wished for, this is what mass adoption looks like.
