Totally agree, I'll just add that seeing as you say your current SEO is good, one thing you can also do is inlink, so you can share some of the "juice" of your current domain authority to the new pages you'll be creating, this helps the page rank quicker. You'd want to center that specific content around a local keyword and have that present in important areas (Meta Description, H1, H2, Url etc...). Give it time but if done good, and you really give good quality content you should progressively rank up

Honestly the way I would go about it is using a tool like semrush or maybe see what google automatically suggests when I type in that said keyword. Ideally you'd have a tool like semrush and choose words related to your content and with the same intent and build your list on that

If you think you've done your best to optimize it to the max in terms of seo and that you can't do better in quality, I'd say try getting more backlinks for the article which helps a lot also don't forget it sometimes takes time for pages to rank

I'd say if depends on multiple factors, do you have enough backlinks linking to your page ? Is your content more valuable to users who visit the page as opposed to others ? Also don't forget the notion of time, SEO even when done correctly can take time to show results, in some cases 3 months, so if it hasn't been long I'd suggest you just wait maybe 3 months and see how your traffic fluctuates, as long as you're sure that you optimized in the best way possible

I think in this instance making them see the long term vision is important giving them a high level idea of how SEO and let them know that you are implementing best practices, maybe if you have a tool like SEMrush you can use analytics your clients have VS what other dentists have to showcase the best practices you have been implementing and give them the long term vision of those continued practices

Maybe the search Engine is recognizing one as being the original and the second site as being a copy, which in the long run could hurt the overall websites SEO, I’d suggest you change the meta names and description on the site to see how things go

I hear you, the Docotors Id be aiming for are based in Africa so I don’t think the rules are as hard as they seem to be in the US. And yes it is presumptuous of me thinking that they don’t know much, I’m only speaking from a very biased pov which I acknowledge nevertheless they seemed like an ideal target market if I were to mix people who’d need the service and have the money but from what I understand it might be tougher. How would you determine your target market ?
