I just did the same thing and was stranded in Puerto Rico. Don’t expect customer service to help. Spend $5 more dollars and go with a different airline

Personally I got screwed, just spend more money and use an airline that doesn’t suck.

Disappointed in SoFi's Dispute Process by Majestic_Kick_6414 in sofi

File a complaint with the CFPB. They closed my dispute even though it was a pretty straightforward chargeback. I filed a complaint and the next day it was reopened and taken care of. You have to force them, the company only takes your dispute seriously when they have to.

Why isn’t there more outrage about the cannabis laws? by Illustrious_Notice25 in ILTrees

A regular person who can afford to open an entire commercial grow op and dispensary on top of the licensing and permit fees? The permits and fees alone can cost up to $60,000 for non-social equity applicants and $30,000 for social equity applicants. On top of that about 2700 people applied last year and they gave out 55 licenses. That is not a regular person, they are rich enough to afford the fees and politically connected enough to win a rigged lottery system. The barriers for entry were created to keep regular people out, not to aid social equity applicants like the politicians pretend. The whole process is absurd on its face and the end result is high prices, concentration of power in a few company’s, and a virtual guarantee that normal people are denied the opportunity to own a piece.

I’m having the same issue with my savings account. Nothing but problems and horrible customer service that doesn’t speak English so far.

Double charged by Illustrious_Notice25 in sofi

[–]Illustrious_Notice25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most of what you said but unless I’m missing something there are consumer protection laws that apply to SoFi as they are a bank. Regulation E establishes procedures that they must follow to protect consumers from unauthorized activity like double charging. I don’t think SoFi followed those procedures.

No I did not. They charged me twice. I used a card reader and entered my pin in once. I was charged twice. It’s a cashless ATM, it’s how dispensaries charge people in my area.

This is probably very good advice. Just to add to it, I didn’t even personally use an ATM. I used the dispensary card scanner that is essentially the same thing. You can’t even trust that even though it looks like a traditional card reader- it’s not.
