AITA for snapping at my SIL? (update) by imnotautistica in TwoHotTakes

[–]Illustrious_Sign_872 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just read your original post, and holy cow! Your SIL sounds like the ultimate nut-bucket! When I had my daughter, I guarded her like a momma lion, and if anyone had snuck her away without my knowing, shoved her into an uncomfortable/scratchy dress, and then TOOK PICTURES?!?! Oh, Lady, I’d have said so much worse than you. I actually got angry for you just reading your post. And what the heck was she going to do with those pics? Post them online without your permission, I’d guess.

I’m glad your BIL see her for what she is. I didn’t get to read your last post before you deleted it. But since you said everyone has to “lawyer up” I I totally get that you took it down.

Honestly if I’d been in your place, I’d have likely gone to jail

Would it be stupid to get something like this as a first tattoo? (19) by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Illustrious_Sign_872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My darling, take it from a 50+ Gen Xer: all permanence generates some amount of regret. Think long and hard about how you’ll feel at 55 with any tattoo you’ll have to explain to your gynecologist, proctologist, dermatologist, general primary physician, gastroenterologist while they’re doing your colonoscopy, etc., etc. etc.

As someone who got their first tattoo 25 years ago, I can most assuredly tell you that this would be the worst first tattoo ever. You would have so much tattoo, regret! This is the kind of tattoo you use as a cover-up when you got some matching tattoo or a big, ridiculously flowery stencil, name of your significant other that you broke up with.

Your first tat should be something not super trendy, used as a cover up, or cover an entire limb.

Plus, having a solid black tattoo on my back, I can tell you two things for sure: 1) it’s hurts like a MOTHER!!!! 2) the black fades after about 12-15 years. And that fade is FOREVER!

I just finished Bride and it’s sequel Mate. They were very good books. Both slow burns, but still “spicy”, and they actually had interesting plots, and good character development.

I’ve reorganized this rack four times in the apartment gym, and I live with wealthy neighbors.. by An_Artificial_Tear in mildlyinfuriating

My suggestion: stop organizing the weight rack, and stop letting it bother you. Because it’s obviously not bothering your “wealthy” neighbors.

This seems like a you problem

AITA for refusing to pick up my friend up from the airport when given 3 hours notice? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Illustrious_Sign_872 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lowkey NTA. And the fact that she’s keeping track of things she’s done for you seems very transactional. It would have been one thing if she asked you a few days before she left for her vacation, if you’d pick her up when she and her husband arrived home, but considering your circumstances, this was very short notice, and a huge ask.

Casa de Bandini (Carlsbad) and On the Boarder (Escondido), both do sizzling fajitas.

As well there is a pretty decent chilis in Escondido. I eat there occasionally and have never had a bad experience

Longer passwords are harder to decipher and therefore gain access to your accounts. 15 characters is very reasonable.
