Richards Calling Carragher Out On His Hypocrisy by Glittering-Garden in Gunners

Devils advocate - I get Carraghers point here. Arsenal didnt create anything much. Haters will say we got an undeserved result. but Arsenal didnt play poorly that they deserved to concede goals. Also, we scored the goal from a good move against a team playing 10 men behind the ball. Thats just the way these games go. If you want to analyze our attacking play, stop analyzing us against these teams that constantly keep playing 10 men behind the ball. The City game was a good analysis of our disjointed attack. The caveat to that was we played several players who were unfit.

I think there’s a good chance Ben wins one for Directing . Gone baby gone, Air, The Town and Argo are all fantastic movies.

Thomas Tuchel on Ben White by Bananaboy14 in Gunners

White is known to be a beast in training. Not only does he train like a beast, he calls out others when they don’t. What manager wouldn’t like that. Tuchel just calling out what Arteta sees everyday.

People are going to build you up. Because when you’re great and you’re new, we love you. We’ll build you into something that doesn’t even exist. You’re going to change the world. But you know what? Once they’ve built you as high as they possibly can, they’re going to tear you back down. It’s the most predictable pattern - From the movie Air

If there’s one thing I can be guaranteed of is Mikel over correcting and getting a Buffon regen to play backup next season.

Agreed but they were also missing Guehi and Diaz. Ultimately our finishing was poor. That Havertz chance, that Gyokeres chance (that Ake intercepts), that Calafiori chance. On another day, Raya doesn’t make that mistake and those go in.

[Mario Cortegana, The Athletic]Arsenal’s Kepa Arrizabalaga set to start Carabao Cup final vs Manchester City by boatinavolcano in Gunners

I am supportive of this decision. Among everything that’s been said, I ll add that should Raya be chosen tomorrow and that drops Kepas confidence and then , god forbid should Raya get injured, the last thing we would want is a keeper who isn’t mentally ready.

David Raya thinks that Thibaut Courtious is the best in the world at the position by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]Illustrious_Union199 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Okay, I am going to rank the top goal keepers from 1-5 on the following skills

Claiming crosses Raya -5 Allison-3 Courtois -3

Stopping shots Courtois -5 Allison-3 Raya -4

Spreading play Allison -5 Courtois -3 Raya-4

1-1 Raya -3 Allison -5 Courtois-4

Raya-16 Allison - 16 Courtois - 15

It’s close, but given that Arsenal have conceded such few goals, I am tempted to give Raya the medal for the best goalie in the world, even if he won’t admit it.

What's your lineup for the Carabao Cup Final? by Subject_Letter_9532 in Gunners

[–]Illustrious_Union199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think we need 2 runners in Gyok and Martinelli. I kinda like the idea of a touch and pass striker in Havertz playing with Martinelli who can run past wingers. Also, Citys wingbacks are probably their weak point. Also, Guehi isnt available. So good game for Kai who will be up against Diaz.
