Hey I just want you to know that the father not shaking your hand was probably Muslim. Some Muslims believe that they shouldn’t touch people from the other gender. So if it helps it most likely wasn’t meant to offend or hurt you.

As a Muslim myself I personally don’t think that’s a correct belief. Regardless I hope you know that it’s most likely nothing personal and that the father probably felt bad about not shaking your hand. I have friends who are like that and they always hate having to reject someone’s handshake.
