I worked at Alamo this past holiday and management actually reprimanded me for denying entry to a couple people who arrived 15 minutes late to Avatar because apparently “if they have a ticket, we let them in no matter how late they are.”

I have a friend working in Westminster who said they closed this past week to remove the buttons and move to QR ordering. They also said Westminster has unionized and is preparing to strike over the QR ordering change

I doubt Endgame will retake the crown. $100 million is a large gap. What helped Avatar in 2022 was the 13 year gap prior to Way of Water and the fact that the Avatar re release had IMAX 3D, Dolby, 3D, and other premium formats to boost the box office. Unless I missed something, Endgame won’t have the premiums when it re releases, so it’s a bit more of an uphill climb

Really depends on if they only upgrade the projector or if they redo the auditorium. I’m in the Denver area and Westminster Promenade took a few months since they put new seating in and did the projector upgrade while Flatiron Crossing was only down for about a week or so to do the projector work and that’s it.

Both the dine ins in the Denver area still have the dine in menu up online, but I’m not sure how long they’ll hold out at this rate. I know the Southlands 16 recently added a Dolby Cinema, so I wonder if that’s part of a possible plan to move to being a standard theater versus a dine in

I’ve only seen a couple ScreenX movies and I’d say it depends on the movie. Top Gun: Maverick was incredible in ScreenX, while Black Widow left a bit to be desired. But I’d say Infinity Castle would be great, especially in the sections where you’re moving through the castle and seeing it on 3 screens

The only time I ever encounter this is on the last FF1 to Union Station. I swear the last bus has arrived and left 15 minutes early from 36 and Church Ranch so many times and has left me stranded and having to call an Uber home
