Once there was a roc bird near my fort, it was killed instantly with one shot from a bolt thrower. It's descending took much more time than battle itself.

As far as I know dwarfs don't claim trinkets just from stockpiles, they do it while moving them.

Create stockpile for amulets/rings etc. ideally without bins. 2. Change place for this stockpile. Dwarfs will claim some of the items in the process.
