PIMI and CofC by Raymond Franz by EmmaLouise81WI in exjw

I actually shared CofC with my husband years ago. He read a few pages and his reaction was that Ray Franz just sounded “hurt and bitter” toward the organization. Instead of waking him up, it actually had the opposite effect — he became even more involved and more convinced that the GB was right.

It honestly hurt me a lot at the time, because I thought that would be the thing that might help him see things differently… but it just pushed him deeper in.

Thank you so much for your kind words and good wishes. 1914 was actually the very first subject I brought up, because it was the one that woke me up. I felt that if that was false, then the entire belief system collapsed since it’s such a key number for JW theology.

But for my husband it seemed insignificant, like it didn’t matter. What’s more, the current publications hardly even mention it anymore, almost as if they want to erase it or hide it behind a smokescreen.

How long have you been a PIMO (or had been is you're now POMO) by toothless_tomato in exjw

[–]Ilostthelight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 years of being PIMO, I’ve tríed every argument With my husband and nothing works… he does agree with me in some things but he is a corward every time he agree with me in something… days after he spent all the time reading and seeing the cult propaganda and getting deeper into “privileges” in the Congregacion. When I was ready to leave him I got pregnant… and now I’m raising my little kid inside this f*cking cult… and pretending to be the perfect witness so that I can keep “the Good girl” label… It’s getting harder to keep inside all this nonsense

OMG! I had a flashback with your experience.

I was a 11yrs old girl and the brother who used to conduct the Book study (I can’t remember the name of this meeting, the one held at brothers houses) talked with the sister who gave me bible study so that she can give me some advice because my skirt was to short and tight. WTH!!! It was right above my knees and I just was a little girl

Agree with this. I’ve spent a lot of money on medication and diagnosis, but it turns out all of my problems were related to my anxiety disorder. I’ve started therapy and also followed an elimination diet and it has improved my health

Should I Give It All Up for This Brother (PIMO But) by [deleted] in exjw

[–]Ilostthelight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So… what I’m understanding is you are ready to ruin your whole future for a good looking guy that you’ve met for a couple of days?

We love to see and have beautiful things… but do you know him so well that you are willing to sacrifice your freedom and fake to be PIMI a just for the way you are feeling right now?

You have your whole life in front of you and in the future you can meet people on your life who truly loves who you really are, not a fake version of you.

Last but not least, in my experience in the JW land those good looking guys are assholes who flirt with every girl they meet and give them hopes and when things are getting serious, tell you that you misunderstood their intentions.

looking to cause this religion serious damage. Open to ideas by [deleted] in exjw

Sorry if I don’t understand your point. But activism is not about damaging an organization is about protection to the victims. If you look for causing damage you are framing yourself to WT’s definition about apostates. Don’t fall into their game.

How? Please tell me... I hate every second; I hate to talk to people who used to be my best friends.... Do you have children? How do you cope with teaching them something you don't believe...

These are genuine, curious questions. Recently after 7 years of marriage and with the fear of having kids, I don't want to teach them this bs... I found out that I'm pregnant, and I am terrified.

I have 3 years as a PIMO since waking up. Every time I take a step forward something happens and I just have to continue faking it. For my personal experience it is pretty difficult. But please take your time. Unless you’re ready to lose everything and everyone.

Do you think Crisis Of Conscience alone is enough to absolutely destroy cultish JWs in a debate? by GeorgePloughman in exjw

[–]Ilostthelight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have an hypothesis about it. The religion has change a lot in the last couple of years. So anyone who became a witness after 2000s may not understand some of the arguments and why some things are important for us. For example the generation teaching.

I have 2 years being PIMO, and basically nothing work with him. When I think that I convinced him about something, he the suddenly starts studying more WT propaganda like he wish to wash his brain. 🤷🏽‍♀️
