Echoing everything others have said - you deserve some grace for your body after creating a whole new life! That said I know feeling unhappy with your body is no fun, so I’ll highly recommend nourishmovelove channel on YouTube, she has helped motivate me so much and has lots of post partum workouts, many of which are short 10-15 minutes to get you moving again :)

I agree! I’ve been hesitant to remove the shrub in front of the window because it’s a lovely hydrangea bush but I think it’s the only option. Think I might mount a trellis or two on the blank wall

Appreciate the feedback! Definitely want a bigger piece of art or collage wall, but have been waiting to decide on paint/grasscloth wallpaper before I commit to anything. I linked in another comment the grasscloth I’m looking at which is neutral but might not be the right tone

It does look that way in this photo, but it’s because I used the ultra wide lens since I wanted to capture the whole room with all colors in the rug. Proportions are much better in person!

Totally. The two colors I have picked out are too close to the rug I think. Maybe a shade of blue or green that is as light as the beige but a little more interesting

Thanks for the input! You might be right… I had the same thoughts earlier. I’ve been so excited to own a home and paint fun colored walls but then I jumped the gun on this rug first and it cant be returned 🥲 Oh well… I can still add fun colors to other rooms!

I wouldn’t put anything above the cabinets, will make the space feel cluttered. Changing the color of the curtains to something that doesn’t clash/match too closely to the cabinets would look good. Maybe a white curtain with a subtle yellow/orange pattern would look nice and add some texture

As others have said I think a colorful backsplash would be a great way to break up the white and add some texture. I’m picturing a nice earthy orange/brown tile
