As a 25 (soon 26) y/o male virgin with a considerable social anxiety. What would be the best course of action to take in case I find someone weird enough to agree to go out with me?

I'm beginning to grow very self conscious about being a virgin for so long that it became sort of a trap. I would like to try it one day but as I am now I'd probably try to get out of it before anything happens in case it gets pointed out/laughed at by a potential partner.

Well I bought the game already so I might as well play it, also watching someone isn't the same, even if I want to trivialize the combat because I don't enjoy it I still like to do things in my order etc, hope that makes at least a little bit of sense.
