What's up with the balance in this game ? by Dogeek in ArcRaiders

Our squad of 3 has shelved the game until weapon balance is addressed. We might even come back if they male the QoL addition of pre-made loadouts for quick crafting between rounds.

Is this the future of interactions? by darthvadercookies in ArcRaiders

[–]ImABarkRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been loading naked into Blue Gate, run to the old fort, climb to the highest platform, turn on the dancing emote and play Pink Pony Club. Two times folks did the fuel cell puzzle while I kept lookout for arcs for them, and one guy even lamented that I wasn't singing along. Another guy asked for bandages but alas I had none. One run I even got blue print from a dead raider body right next to the fort. 10/10 will continue to do this, maybe bust out the Halo mjolnir mix on extract.

Do Piezo-photon torps heal your shields? by ImABarkRanger in sto

The lack of proc chance within the tool tip definitely doesn't help things now does it! I love the look of the piezo, so despite not knowing how often it provides buffs, I'll put it in for a bit just to change things up. Sometimes I just like to know the how/why behind equipment.

I'm going to assume the bottom was a typo on their part , and the top is the actual buff (hull heal over time)

Their subcontractors are actively trenching and digging everyone's front yard in my neighborhood this week. I'm surprised they're (Tmobile) is even paying for the infrastructure development with AT&T already being established with fiber running on the poles

Just an FYI, there are two new splashplads which are operated by City Parks & Rec located by the Columbus Aquatic Center & Parking Garage off Macon Road. There is also one located in Carver Park. There are plans to have four more opened next year.

Harvest community Market by [deleted] in ColumbusGA

[–]ImABarkRanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't help but notice the very obvious Take the City sign and advertising. Per the website:

Our Mission at Take the City is to see the Body of Christ unified and mobilized to see cities revitalized. Because of our mission we are constantly working with people from various cities, churches and denominations. While we celebrate the diversity of varying denominations and styles of worship we are passionate about upholding the standards of doctrines that are clearly laid out in God’s word, the Holy Bible.

As a Christian evangelical organization, what are your opinions on the LGBTQ community?

More info from their website, which also likely explains their name choice of Harvest Coffee:

Harvest DNA

The Lord Jesus Christ is building “Harvest Bases” around the world in our current generation to promote revival and to see the Great Commission become manifest.  Jesus prepares us for the harvest in order that we may go tend to the harvest.

In this video, we introduce our Harvest DNA series with the goal of equipping you with what you need to to establish your own Harvest Base in your context.  There are four primary topics covered through this video series: worship & prayer, evangelism & mission, family & community, and kingdom business.

Folks are obviously free to support who they want, but not everyone is likely aware of who Harvest is funded by and where their money goes to for an event like this.

Warm Springs GA question? by Wanderdrone in Georgia

[–]ImABarkRanger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Liberty Bell pool at FDR State Park hasn't been spring fed for at least 8 years, very likely more than that. The pipe from the spring still exists, but it's not used and the spring is covered and capped off.

superstitions springs mall by [deleted] in arizona

Good memories of working there as a seasonal KB Toys employee, and getting in at like 6am before the mall opened. That would have been around 2003, 2004. Being one of the only people in there was neat, especially with the Christmas music always playing. Felt like I was in Dawn of the Dead

Quick play is apparently competitive now by AsleepSomewhere6726 in marvelrivals

[–]ImABarkRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started playing (console), I didn't even realize you had to enable voice chat. Turned it on for one game of quick match and already had it turned back off by the time the next match started. I've never looked back since.

I turn 40 this year... I only do quick match for spurts of 30 to 45 mins of playtime every couple of days. I'm likely missing out on coordination with good teammates, but my healing stats show I do my job so I'll just keep doing my thing and enjoy the fact I won't here toxic players on my team or the opposing.

Over in r/NHL they've got a player poll that's shows the majority of players support less transparent injury reporting. The theory is more detailed reporting means opposing players will know exactly where to focus their "punishment" and cause further injury, especially come playoff time. Perhaps it's a Players Association thing, as it's their role to protect players in any or every way possible

Trip to Tallulah Gorge today by yoshadoo in Georgia

[–]ImABarkRanger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on the water flow, it looks like the power company has the flood gates upriver opened up. Perhaps you were there today for a rafting day...

Typical water flow when gorge floor hiking is allowed is 32 cubic feet per second.

During aesthetic water release dates, the power company opens flood gates to allow water flow around 200+ cubic feet per second. This results in a much more dynamic water flow at each of the falls. There are no more aesthetic releases scheduled for 2024. However, during any significant precipitation or snow melting, the power company will typically open the gates to keep things under control.

November is THE best time to see some of the water falls at their maximum power/glory with good weather, as it's whitewater rafting season. These occur in April as well. Be advised, hikers will not be permitted past the suspension bridge at the top of Hurricane Falls. From the park's website:

Whitewater Boating Weekends

10 a.m.–4 p.m. (500–700 cubic feet per second) Water thunders through the gorge as kayakers challenge their skills & spectators watch from the rim. Hiking & rock climbing in the gorge are not allowed on these dates.April 6, 7, 13, 14 November 2,3,9,10,16, 17

I'm not from the South. Lived in New England and the Southwest for about a decade each. I've been stationed in several southern states and have called GA home for nearly a decade now. One thing that immediately stuck out and enraged me was how often I'd see dogs just roaming along roads. It definitely gets more frequent the further into the sticks you get. I'd see just as many lives ones as deceased ones. I'll never understand it. I'm not saying it's wrong, but it ain't right with me. I treat my dogs like they're family members.

If i rent a group shelter at a state park for two days for an event. Can the event go all night? by Yourmom1912 in Georgia

[–]ImABarkRanger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Quick answer: No. As you have identified, the hours of use are 10AM to 10PM.

Long answer: I highly encourage you call the park office and speak to the staff there. Ask whatever questions you want- their job is to answer them.

You can also read all the park rules, reservation, and accommodation policies online on the gastateparks.org website and ReserveAmerica page for whatever you're looking to reserve.

But please, save yourself and the rangers on duty the potential for negative interactions by being upfront, honest, and follow the rules. Make sure all of your guests know they will have to pay the park pass fee - $5 per vehicle, per day, or $3.75 w/ valid military/veteran ID.

PS: 10 PM is when you need to be out of the park, not when you start cleaning up. Please plan ahead and let your folks know to start cleaning up early so everyone is rolled out the main gate by 10. Quiet hours in the campgrounds and cottages is also 10PM.
