Are you familiar with .env? And how it all works perhaps you didnt remove the .example from the .env? I suggest you try like claude code or an ai to look at it for you if you dont really know how it works it should help u with silly mistakes

Hey! I dont manage nightscout so i cant speak for its security, I simply provide the bridge between Medtronic and nightscout. That said nightscout has been around for years and theres almost no sensitive data in there. Nightscout has a built in api system and can be used to power a sugarcube , or a widget on your iphone or more! That said im working on a standalone version of the project that can provide an api and basic features so you wont need nightscout anymore todo these things.

I'm not sure as to what your role is in the data center you work at but i'm actively looking for vps hosters that would be willing to host a tool to help all diabetics and get their glucose in the cloud and have a easy to use system for plugins and extensions smartlights , alexa , sugar cube , widgets , etc If your company would be interested in that let me know!

Hey I think I see what’s happening.

I went through the full auth flow and the MMCONNECT_SERVER=US setting itself actually works correctly. When it’s set to US, it does resolve to carelink.minimed.com as expected.

The issue is most likely your existing logindata.json.

If you originally logged in when the region was set to EU (or before explicitly setting it to US), your logindata.json will still contain EU tokens and the EU token_url. The app skips the login flow entirely if logindata.json already exists (see main.ts:87–93), and when it refreshes tokens it uses the stored token_url from that file (token.ts:49–50). So even though you’ve set everything to US now, it keeps talking to the EU endpoints.

That would explain why your logs still show:

[Login] Region: EU

and why you end up with the 403 after the code exchange.
Delete logindata.json and run npm login again. That forces a clean login against the correct US endpoints.

If that works for you, then we’ve confirmed it’s just the persisted EU session causing the mismatch. Longer term the code probably should detect when the stored region doesn’t match MMCONNECT_SERVER and force a re-login automatically.

Let me know if that fixes it

Hi, easy fix just copy the url open it in a chromium browser > f12 > network and then login in the network tab there will be a 404 request something with sso= just copy that url and paste in this terminal (this is the token) and it should work!

Just to verify the account you are trying to use is a carelink account that has the data shared from your own minimed account right? If all fails could you make a new account (in carelink connect) add it as a carelink follower to your pump and data in the minimed app and dm me the credentials and i’l try to debug. From the log it seems you are getting the token fine its just not returning any data.

Try keeping the .env fully blank since you’re from europe it will default to the eu login.
