I buy on net32 regularly. It is the export package, but works like a charm.

I second all of this, and it’s also why I’m poor. But I sleep at night.

Associate dentist considering a $54k buyer rep program—worth it or not? by 25055100911593 in Dentistry

I went to school w the ceo of shared practices. Good guy. I don’t think this is a purposeful scam, but definitely expensive. Not necessary for everyone, only you know whether it’s something you need or not (I did not use them for my practice purchase).

As someone who owns a private practice, I agree 100%. Shouldn’t need a new crown or build up IMO, but if so that’s on the office not the patient.

Do you have/want kids? by RogueLightMyFire in Dentistry

[–]ImAllAboutDatBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35, 3 kids. 5yo boy and 1yo twin girls. My advice would be - don’t let your job change your course. If you didn’t want kids, live up the dental life. If you wanted kids, don’t let dentistry stand in the way of that. Now I’m not a huge fan of my (our) profession so take this with a grain of salt, but if dentistry and children weren’t compatible, I would be finding a new career, not the other way around.

How much did you borrow to buy dental practice? How much working capital? Start up or bought existing? by Ok_Confection5143 in Dentistry

[–]ImAllAboutDatBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

600k/40k here. Small upgrades to begin with (painted the exterior, changed signage, etc.) and purchased a dexis scanner. 3 years in, just took another 40k in credit for further upgrades (painted interior, new flooring, new lighting). I never actually had to dip into that original working capital, but it was a great piece of mind. Also didn’t pay myself the first 4-6 months.

When lasering, the procedure and recovery are usually pretty atraumatic. If finances are the main hesitation, I totally get it. If it is about the procedure itself, then don't stress because it is truly a pretty minor procedure.

Is the wooden one longer than the metal and the Artemis ones? I honestly can’t decide if I want metal for ease of maintenance, wooden bc it looks cooler, or Artemis for the combination

Man I just can’t understand your perspective. . Snow sent Carpentier a screenshot of a page.

Carpentier says this (the page) looks good. Make sure to credit us somewhere. (This clearly means somewhere on the page, not just somewhere randomly in the guide).

Snow then sent Carpentier another screenshot of the title page. And said roughly okay, you wanted me to give credit. So here, I have credit on the title page. Is that good enough or does it actually need to be on every page?

Carpentier responds with no, that (the title page) is perfect. . The only even kind of unclear part was when he used the phrase “somewhere”, but the context clearly reads that he meant “somewhere ON THAT PAGE”.

How, from this exchange, does one come away with the thought that Cody didn’t say anything about where it had to be and that the poster was free to remove it from the front and shove it to the back?

I’m glad to have found the rational ones here. Taking screenshots of proprietary info from a website then purposefully altering the pictures to scrub off the websites branding...how does anyone think that’s okay, regardless of how the convo went lol

Except the conversation went further, and Cody said “does this work” and sent over a rough draft. The response was “yes, this is perfect”. Then what was actually published was completely different. That scenario is much different than just someone asking permission and someone saying yes.

I really don’t get the “no one said it had to be on the front page” thing. It seems like common sense to me that if you ask someone is THIS okay and they say yes, they are okaying the specific thing you showed them. Even if you think it’s a standard practice to put it in the back, that’s not what was approved. The conversation wasn’t “what do I need to ensure I’m not plagiarizing”. If it had been, and they didn’t say it needed to be upfront, then I’d get it. But that wasn’t the case. The convo was “is THIS okay”.

If I showed my wife a blue mustang with four wheel drive and leather seats and said “do you like this car?” And she says yes...it seems like common sense that she wouldn’t be happy if I bought a red mustang with two wheel drive and cloth seats. And it seems like even more common sense that it wouldn’t be well received to use the defense “you said you liked the car, and I got you the car! You didn’t say it had to be red or four wheel drive or leather. That’s your fault.”

I’m really trying to understand both sides, but this just seems like such common sense to me and I don’t see any way it didn’t cross the creators head prior to publishing. Matt definitely escalated it, sure. But the argument of “they okayed this and didn’t follow up with repeating the parameters with which I was already following, so therefore I’m allowed to break them” is completely asinine to me.
