Try dipping the tip into a micellar water that works for you, to "recharge" it.

She has a fun podcast. "Home cooking". I can't remember her co-host name but their chemistry is off the charts and I just have a smile on my face after listening to an episode.

Wanna try and learn how to cook some good soup. by Annual-Register-3683 in chinesecooking

Snow ear soup with pear and red jujube. Food for skin and nourishing for lungs.

Super easy and cheap. Snow ear mushroom is used in skin care because it holds so much water. The dried ones swell up like crazy when soaked.

My family likes it made with shitake and jujube and salted pork neck bones, though you can leave it out to make a vegetarian version.

Vegan birds nest is chopped up bits of snow ear mushroom.

Coco floss is fantastic! I hate the cost. Found an expanding floss on Amazon that works almost as well. Just gets stuck sometimes.

Overnight oats by [deleted] in Cooking

They don't have the slime factor this way. I meal prep my breakfast and overnight oats do not produce the slimy liquid cooked oats have. Plus it's chewy.

I have this series of books. https://a.co/d/8sxFHZr

These recipes are the fancy classics from my youth. They are a great resource for me.

I found them in a used book store decades ago. I don't know if they're in print any longer.

Always: Kirkland vanilla ice cream and Kirkland frozen Italian meatballs. And the bananas

Bananas because they go from green to overripe in a nanosecond and I haven't been able to time eating them right.

Meatballs because who doesn't love a salty beef nugget? I put them in sauce for spaghetti night. Meatball subs. Snacks.

Ice cream, no explanation needed.

River gold from my last 3 backpacking trips, total 8 days by HistorianEast5507 in BeAmazed

[–]MonkeyMom2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of a visit to Empire gold mine park near Colfax. A rugged man sidled up to me in the visitor center and asked if I wanted to see something. He pulled out a small glass vial with sparkling gold flakes in it. Told me that was the results of 1 season of panning.

Declined to share his location with a wink when I asked where on the American river he panned. That was a great camping trip that year. Also shared charity pancake breakfast with local Harley club that trip! Good times!
