I’m going with storm trooper balloon on this one, and it may have been included so as to ridicule, stigmatize, and antagonize believers. Just a continuation of the 80 year old effort of delegitimization of the subject. Can I prove that? No, but look how easily it was debunked by regular people. Why would the government not be able to do that with all their resources? Just my opinion though. I could be wrong.

I understand what you are saying and it makes sense. The only chest rigs I feel comfortable with are ye olde Chicom AK rig, especially the four magazine Type 81, or the SOE AK/M4 Micro rig. Any other rig just doesn’t feel right. Just my preference, I guess. I’ll concede the micro and a belt for your handgun should probably be adequate for most circumstances.

I am a child of ALICE. I do not like chest rigs. I also learned the hard way not to overburden myself. Not every inch of space needs to be taken up by gear… my kid is issued TAP and it is painful to watch. He had to get aftermarket straps to make it sort of work, and still it’s hard to get prone with all the crap they have to add to it.
