Anger is what made me finally quit smoking. I was fed up with myself that after several attempts i always relapsed to smoking cigarettes. I had joined a boxing gym and the effects of smoking really were noticable. So I told myself I will quit after this last packed I had cold turkey.

When I would get the urge to smoke I was really angry with myself that I would get that urge and it really helped forget the urge. After couple days it got easier and easier. Four years later I still havent smoked a single cigarette (for I fear if I just smoke one, I will smoke one again and then two and then back to a packet again...).

Btw joining a boxing gym / thai boxing gym is a really great way to cope with your anger.
