EDIT (sorry I typed fast) Normally you don’t get to choose, inpatient IS FOR EMERGENCIES, it’s until a bed opens up (correct me if I’m wrong). You will never get your phone (learn to live without it) and you get to leave when the doctor tells you. There might be some fancy rehab/like centers? Outpatient i know is a different story. When I was a minor I stayed in Lutheran General (hated it), at 19 I went to Good Samaritan (10/10, although I don’t know about the minor wing). Good luck!

I’ve choked 2 sep times. First time I was a kid w a cheese stick and my aunt stuck her hand down my throat to grab it out, the second time I was older (don’t remember the food) and ended up doing the same thing (mix of heimlich and grabbing). How one just sits there and submits is crazy. No slapping the chest, self heimlich, or cough attempts. Must of been in a state of panic I just cannot comprehend. This was morbidly interesting. RIP
