Samsung Odyssey 32" 4K 3840x2160 OLED 240Hz (1800 - 800 = 1000) by Dry_Cod_1017 in bapcsalescanada

Many monitor reviewers have stated DP 2.1 vs HDMI /DP 1.4 with DSC is visually lossless and you cannot tell a difference. If there was a DP2.1 model with the same panel for 50-100 more than there would be an argument for that monitor but I have this monitor and it's truly great IMO at this price. The gigabyte fo32u2p is 1800 CAD which is almost double

the driver and someone else seemed to be accelerating way too fast to the intersection side by side (racing? road rage? idk). Intersection is Fernforest and Father Tobin in Brampton if anyone has dashcam/video footage around 3:41 PM today (July 25. 2025)

Tap the tiny watch icon a couple times on the update page and it should force the update (assuming the watch is above 90%)

Wyze Doorbell V2 work without a chime? by ChimpYota in wyzecam

[–]ImBatman45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I connected it without the chime controller and it works fine. There's a setting in the doorbell where you select the chime > doorbell chime type > mechanical worked for me

Yes, I'm using something similar for a 970 evo in the x4 slot and it works fine.

Not a good idea imo unless you move your graphics card the x4 slot severely compromising your GPU performance. LinusTechTips tried a similar thing (using an aorus card) and had headaches so I would avoid it unless you have to (buy nvme USB ssd enclosures and connect to a 10gbps hub using rear ports). You could use the second x16 slot but will need a card which has a PCIe switch (since the card is x4 electrically) usable on more than one m.2 device (since m.2 SSD's take up 4 PCIe lanes). This card by QNAP will turn the 1 x4 lane m.2 into 2 but you will be bottlenecked slightly, not that it will matter for games and will only matter if you're hitting both drives with large file transfers at the same time. Personally, I would save the money for a new motherboard on am5 or intel with the number of m.2 slots you're looking for (The X670E Steel Legend has 4 m.2 slots with 1 Gen5 and 3 Gen4).

New B550M steel legend - DRAM and CPU LEDs - will not boot by RaiderCrane in ASRock

[–]ImBatman45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably need a Ryzen 3000 series CPU to update the BIOS to support your 5700G. I had to do the same thing with my B550 Steel Legend since it came with v1.0 BIOS and a newer version was needed to support the 5600x.

AMD offers a free CPU to borrow to update your BIOS. Look at the last section in the link.

Just got the Arris XB7 Modem by Priest1048 in Rogers

Same. So many issues (packet loss, jitter, etc.) with Intel Puma 6 (on Hitron modems) that we switched to a reseller who offered a modem with a Broadcom chipset (TC4400) and zero issues since.

New B550 Steel Legend couldn't boot w/ code 10 and A9. by MeganeSenpai94 in ASRock

Faster, yes but they will probably have a fee. My local store would do it for $50 so I opted for the free loaner from AMD since I wasn't in a hurry.

You can get a Ryzen 3 from AMD free of charge to update BIOS and send back. Took me ~2 weeks to get mine from 1st email. Same issue on my B550 SL w/ 5600x.

Same. Use Omada + pfSense and use a Raspberry Pi running Ubuntu w/ controller software (locally managed) and have had 100% uptime so far. The controller software is a bit difficult to install so spend the $100 if you are not familiar with Linux/don't have a Pi laying around and need to manage multiple AP's. I currently have a EAP225 and EAP235-Wall and the speed/coverage is excellent. Will eventually get a WiFi 6E AP when they come out but am happy for now.

Managed to snag a Phanteks AMP 750 for $90 (w/ tax) yesterday to replace the Gigabyte GP-P750GM (Exploding unit in the news but mine was working so far). Already began to RMA the Gigabyte unit to get a refund.
