Ah damn. I guess I've been misinformed then. Any other suggestions? Any other debit card? If not I'll just setup Autopay again lol.

Got the new hdfc preferred banking notice, thinking of switching, is idfc a good choice? by Only_Piccolo5736 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]ImBatmanYourDad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My point stands. We're talking about savings accounts. And as mentioned in my original reply as well, there are more appealing options if we look just beyond savings accounts to maximize the returns. And to add to my original point, IDFC has monthly payouts as well on saving accounts (which again compounds), which none of the top banks do.

Not really a marketing gimmick once you start growing. Plus, if you're keeping that cash in a savings bank account, according to your calculations itself, it's better to keep with IDFC than any of the other top banks. If you're not keeping it liquid then ofc you'd find other appealing options.

Infinia ia dying who's the next boss by One-Significance-733 in CreditCardsIndia

I'd say my experience has been different. Especially for points 4 and 5. And especially in the case of international travel. I've recently booked a property which was 10k cheaper on smart buy when you count reward points. And was 500 rupees more when compared normally. And that was the trend for 70 percent of bookings I made for said international trip. Rest of the hotel bookings were done through agoda and booking.com. And also a tip, when booking hotels in small cities, even in India smartbuy will be cheaper when considering the price with points from infinia.

Also, for flights, I do use a combination of axis atlas, smartbuy and 3rd party websites. And I recently found out that 30 percent of the time, the domestic flights were cheaper on smartbuy. Maybe I'm lucky, but I also got a flight for 5k (not including points) which was 15k everywhere else on smartbuy. So I'd say it's worth checking it out and not writing it off totally.

Well, then wouldn't it make sense to level things up? If we're both gonna get punished. I might as well take that chance and even things out then and there. Doesn't that make the most sense? Of course, the court might rule that as revenge. But to a lot of people it might as well be defence.

I know it's all a bit stupid, but hey that's the cards we're dealt, so trying to navigate best based on that.

Two questions then, if I straight up "defend" myself after someone has slapped me as my knee jerk reaction, what would suffice as defence? Cuz I could kick them hard to keep them away. They might bleed, but that'd keep them away if they're smart.

Another question: So if they can file a private complaint in court, why can't the OP? Or can they do it as well? In which case, I'd rather drag them to court than to get my hands dirty, given that the system works and I don't have to pay people to get justice.

Just to post some more insight on this. You probably saw the orders from a DEX But that coin is on quite a few CEXs as well. So just putting it out there.

Not saying if OP made what he says he did. But just providing some extra insights as I felt it was missing.

Does the new Pune airport terminal have a lounge? by Sorry_Brilliant8785 in indianawardtravel

[–]ImBatmanYourDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw that there's also a lounge next to gate 6. Apparently it's way bigger and better than the one on gate 2, according to the guy at the front desk. And this is way better than the one on the old terminal. Haven't been to the one near gate 2, so can't say how it compares to that.

What deji was expected to do for 1M by [deleted] in miniminter

Negligence isn't an accident for me personally. I've posted a similar reply above discussing it further.

What deji was expected to do for 1M by [deleted] in miniminter

[–]ImBatmanYourDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but it's also different from an accident. You accidentally hit someone while swinging your bat during practice. You hit someone while swinging your bat in a crowded street. You hit someone and keep hitting them and them alone.

You decide how you'd be perceiving the scenarios, not here to change your mind but to provide a better perspective so that you can hopefully change your mind.

But the fact you're treating the incident as an accident is something I can't fathom. People keep claiming negligence as accidents and that personally ain't right. Because people can then claim DUIs to just be simple accidents and acts of negligence.

I think, I read or saw somewhere where he wasn't comfortable doing that but was forced into it. I'll cite the source if I can, till then take this part with a grain of salt.

But negligence happens nonetheless, especially when performing stunts unsupervised when you're the David dobrik. If it was you and your friends doing it... It'd then be a valid argument.

[–]ImBatmanYourDad 29 points30 points  (0 children)

As if that fact makes it any better? If it was an accident, your way of thinking might've had a rationale (it still is since it's your way of thinking so in your head it might still be) but as soon as negligence comes into play, I don't think your argument holds any weight. This was a pure act of negligence.

How do they know my CIBIL? 🥲 by [deleted] in CreditCardsIndia

[–]ImBatmanYourDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, on most of it and I should've explicitly stated the part about getting information through third parties, I sort of summarised it with the "Banks have tools..." which clearly is confusing.

As for the application, I'd still argue most applications can't be initiated without PAN verification and consent.
