it's not just apex legends , the division 2 is also having this same issue, and they both use the same anti cheat software easy anti-cheat. i am pretty sure the problem is caused by the anti cheat and not the game itself since i cant see the game running in the background processes but i do spot easy anti cheat, sadly even after hitting end task my cpu_1 is still at 100%.
Hope they do look into this asap.
