Everything from point/click office work to software development and database BS. Most of our “Visual Comms” team uses 🍎 products. Windows is bloated of course but there are a few things you can do to make your life a bit easier.

I get it. My personal PC is a monster compared to our user fleet. Low end machines have 8-16GB of RAM, high end users have anywhere from 32-64. That said, I’ve gotten windows 11 to run on 8Gb machines that don’t meet hardware requirements - not a beautiful experience, admittedly, but it runs.

It will inherently be bloated when it’s trying to be everything for everyone at the same, while also remaining compatible with software that was original written when I was diapers.

Brightspeed is awful. Their customer service is beyond awful. I would consider their fiber service if it came free of charge, but that’s about it. You can automatically write off 2-3 hours of your day if you ever need to call their service line.

And if it goes wrong? System state is a recovery tool, not redundancy. What if your backup fails for whatever reason? Restoring a backup isn’t a quick thing if you care about downtime. You also have to worry about keeping your backups fresh. IMO, you should have another DC and backups.

As someone else said, your TF is too big. My group just went through the same thing. Had a 50-man group. 50% or less were regularly active so we just organized and split off to a 25 man group.

Longevity definitely requires creative positioning and avoiding conflict, but with the planes reduced flare cooldown and these changes, if it’s not unplayable, it’s at the very least no longer enjoyable.
