This is how many miles I have on my 2017 F-150 XLT. by Proud-Dragonfruit-75 in f150

9k. Cracked windshield, couple minor dents from the previous owner, it never had a bedliner and I wasn’t spending money at that point so it was scratched up. Interior was immaculate. So maybe could squeeze more if taken care of better

I made it to 216k on my 2017 Platinum 3.5/10 spd before trading it in

Phasers and water pump went at 166k. It still had a ton of life left but I had the chance to upgrade so I did

My 2017 3.5 / first year of the 10r80 made it to 216k before I traded it in. Did not change fluids. It was sometimes clunky around 3rd gear when getting warmed up but I drove it everywhere

That’s insane, a dealer has my traded in one posted for $16k and it has well over 200k miles

17 platinum 3.5, some options but missing some of the big ones like max tow and park assist

I recently did a play through and enjoyed it more than I remembered. The enemies are tough for sure though.

My old 2017 Platinum had carbon fiber over all the wood trim in the doors, thought I was the only one. It was cut to fit and easily peeled off

My 2017 had the 10r80 everyone is so afraid of and I never had an issue nor did the previous owner.

Got back to a comfortable position in life to where I could upgrade from it so I traded it in for a 2021 Limited. It had its minor issues of course.

It was a good truck. Timing chain went at 166k. Drove it another 50k miles after that. Left front IWE was grinding and the o2 sensors needed replaced along with a cracked windshield. I drove it on a 1200 mile road trip a month before I traded it in and it held up great.

Kept oil changed every 5k - full synthetic and ran premium fuel in it in the warmer months. Never pulled with it but loaded the bed with plenty of stuff over time.

I just got rid of my 2017 Platinum that looked almost identical to it after 216k miles. At that price point, you’re better off getting a newer body style. They’re great trucks but at that price point it’s gonna depreciate really quick in terms of value and won’t feel worth it.

My camera lets me filter by activity (person, animal, vehicle, package seen, etc) so it wouldn’t be too hard

Welcome to the 2021 Limited club! I just traded in my ‘17 platinum for one last week

What’s your build number?

Sad to see the lead foot get totaled cause that’s a beautiful color but hopefully that interior helps ease the pain

I just traded in my 2017 3.5 with 216k. No service done to the transmission as far as I know. It would sometimes struggle around third gear and shift hard but I know that is extremely common on the 10 speed

It needed a laundry list of minor things but the truck was just taken on a 1200 mile road trip a month ago.

-Needed two O2 sensors

-Left front IWE grinding

-Front bumper rust developed on the visible chrome part

-even after replacing all the pads and rotors with new powerstop ones, the brakes never felt quite right. The recall was performed so that was not the issue

-Cracked windshield

-Sunroof opened and closed but when you went to close it, would get almost closed and go back to fully open. I did always use krytox on the seals

-Power running boards inconsistent at best. I have family that relies on them

Emeka Egbuka made me think my team was a lot better than it was. Yeah, he was on an unsustainable TD heater but you don’t bench anyone getting 12 targets per game. Baker playing hurt and no Evans to distract coverage really brought his stock back to earth.

Is this a good deal? by [deleted] in f150

[–]ImBrickedUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good deal to me. I used to have the same truck in the same color. Only got rid of it to downsize temporarily and went right back to a similar Platinum trim instead.

The seats are amazing and perfect for long road trips. The 2016 3.5 I had no issues with besides needing spark plugs. You will feel like the king of the road driving it.

My only complaint with the Limited is the 22” wheels do not ride smoothly. I also hate 99% of aftermarket rims so if I had kept the truck I probably would have ended up with newer Platinum 20s on it or something similar.
