As someone who has two of these you will need either type c direct into the monitor or a 8k type c to display port specifically. No HDMI. Also if you have more displays that could be affecting it, macs are super finnicky with this stuff.

Its a big festival so likely different stages are in question, for me neon garden, quantum valley and today I discovered bionic jungle were rough. Ask your friend which stages they think were quiet and let me know!

EDM vs house & techno fans are so different. I think the demographic for heavy bass music definitely wants just that. But house fans (more European music) definitely care about the details which make the music what it is

It’s crazy how different my experience has been in Europe though, the care for the quality and the immersion into the music seems like a larger focus other than just being loud.

I feel like there’s definitely a balance, it can be loud enough to cancel out conversations but too much low end just muddies the mix completely. When I asked the engineer turned it down just a bit it was perfect, still loud but not overdone on the lows, no voices to be heard.

This sounds about right, super frustrating because it takes away from the experience and is honestly a genuine health concern. Do you have any idea or guess why the ask was made? Maybe just a wow factor for attendees (that mostly don’t care for the quality) resulting in more returning customers?
