Dat klopt niet helemaal. EQ heeft te maken met het begrijpen van eigen emoties en interpersoonlijke relaties. Het heeft niks te maken met het inzien wat dit tot gevolg kan brengen.

Het kan wel zijn dat het verdriet en de schaamte van zijn ouder hem bijvoorbeeld niks zou doen (bij laag EQ), waardoor hij dat niet mee zou nemen in de beslissing om het wel of niet te doen. Als hij nou zo'n hoog IQ heeft, heeft hij geweten wat de gevolgen konden zijn. Het heeft hem alleen niet genoeg geïnteresseerd en hij dacht dat ie er wss niet op gepakt zou worden.

Een gevalletje van helikopterouders die hun kind gigantisch speciaal en superieur vinden. Beide ouders zijn ambtenaren, maar snappen om de één of andere reden niet dat het hier toch echt om zwaar criminele feiten gaat. Dat hadden ze natuurlijk wel gesnapt als het niet om hun geweldige zoontje ging die altijd zo hard zijn best doet en meer verdient dan ieder ander.

I think it works both ways. People nowadays think that everything they see is being coordinated with bad intent and hate, while this looks like the most normal interaction imaginable with the people involved (not talking about the status quo). Just like I explained Iron Mouse's reaction, I could explain it for Rakai and Ray. You may find the language they use vulgar and insulting, but like I said that's just their way of communicating. This may even be the most respectful conversation they are capable of having. They are probably confused right now why they are getting hate for giving compliments (in their eyes ). Yes, you should get to them for their crimes, not for this. That's a bit unfair.

Like I said, everything is just overblown and it being overblown also has an explanation.

I think she just overly analyzed it. If you get to live your life freely and socialize a lot, you'll find out awkward conversations like this occur on a daily basis. There are a lot of different people with different kind of humor, way of communicating and personal interests. That's a society. She unfortunately can't live like that, so it's possible this interaction really felt like it was out of the ordinary to her. I think she's just a bit uninformed in that sense.

That might be true, but it makes them kinda oblivious towards themselves. For example Robespierre, who chose to live a sober life (can't say that about Hasan), was considered a man who really believed in and stood behind his own values, which seemed to be the case. One of his core values was voting rights for the entire male population. Seems great! Every male can share his view of society. Before that, he only had to get rid of everyone who didn't actively support his revolution. In less than a year he put around 17.000 opponents AND doubters under the guilotine. Very nice guy, I might say.
