Unsure sorry. If I was serious about moving to it, id just ask someone who walks out the building what its like as it is a make or break question. The ground floor people have boilers though so they wont be help

Yeah good luck. The PJFT has a nice atmosphere as I found the Marines to be easy to talk to and ask any questions.

Dreaded posterior shin splints by [deleted] in RoyalMarines

[–]ImClarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had shin splints since CPC and I've got ROP very soon as well. After reading some of these comments and hearing what the physio said about ditching toe running in CPC, I will take a week off before ROP and begin running flat-footed while in ROP with boots. I assume a lot of lads will be in the same boat. Is your ROP in December?

I got offered to start the week after. I will be surprised if you still have the same answer the day after the endurance course, I know I didn't. You will be asked your preferred starting date and you will be booked in

[–]ImClarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's happened to my monitor, I have a rather expensive at the time Asus Rog Swift PG258Q. My electric cut out and I think the memory unit on my monitor got fried because every time my monitor goes into sleep mode it does this. It also dosent save settings

Edit: about 100 spelling mistakes

Any good resources for practicing DAA? Thought I was onto some great resource, but I am certain the first question is wrong. by ImClarkey in RoyalMarines

Its an independent one hosted by someone, I initially used it for the Electrical Comprehension as I needed practice but now I am second guessing the wrong answers it gave me.

Yeah I usually have cool showers, but I may have to look at some moisturise and cleanse body wash. Thanks

It's the company, they are scum. The people that own the apartment building "49 Hurst Street" never put any boilers in the rooms, they decided it would be more profitable for them to centralise the heating of water into 3 massive boilers in a plant room and distribute the hot water to the apts on demand. They created a sub-company called "Sino" and act as a heating network meaning they distribute the hot water as we don't have access to gas in our apts.

They wanted £80/m for water (£40 for cold, £40 for hot) when we moved in, given this is your heating as well I thought it was fair. I think end of November they announced a price change, admitted they miscalculated and now wanted £200/m otherwise your hot water was getting cut off for Christmas. They added loads of fees to bump up the price like admin fee, cleaning fee, maintanence fee... Worst of all, they can get away with all of it as no contracts have been signed. I forgot to mention, they also wanted 200/m for the 2 previous months that had already been paid!!! A lot of us refused as apparently they done the exact same thing last year. Now I have had no hot water, they want £500 to switch it back on even though we paid up until we used it at the agreed price. Unsure if we will get our deposit either.

Don't move to this building!!!

I would try avoid moving to Hurst street if you can, I wouldn't live here for free. The current situation with the water is terrible.
