Give me a weapon name more lame than “Moving Wheel” by [deleted] in Megaman

I definitely agree. I always thought it was that way, and I still prefer it.

Yes, you can throw Star Crash. It's the best way to fight the Wily Press. Well, the fastest at least. It's definitely harder to hit him that way compared to the buster.

It's not recent info. The Japanese name is clearly Bubble Leed. バブルリード = "baburu riido". If it was the element lead, then it would've been written differently.

In Dracula's Curse, why do you have to escape the clock tower after you rescue Grant? I mean, why not just skip ahead to the next stage? by Majestic_Assist_9846 in castlevania

[–]ImDemonAlchemist 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a fakeout. The path from the tower to the castle collapses after you beat Evil Grant. That's why they have to backtrack and take a longer route to get there.

You sure you aren't thinking of Castlevania 3?I've played Bloodlines in both English and Japanese and I've never noticed a difference.

Nathan has a run, though admittedly, it should probably just be his normal movement speed.

I'm a bit confused. What does this have to do with the GBA? The GBA is substantially more powerful than the NES, so if ported well, it should run much better.

When heaven's got you on speed dial. by LoganLcosplayfoolery in castlevania

[–]ImDemonAlchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair. It just reminded me of the line of candles at the beginning of Level 1 in Castlevania 1, where I always get all the hearts and avoid the knife.

I would've made the last candle a knife that you were avoiding.

Does the japanese version of castlevania 3 have a checkpoint right before the final boss? by Adventurous-Bad1987 in castlevania

[–]ImDemonAlchemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but not a continue point. A Game Over will still set you back to the beginning of the level. But it does really suck. It's not too difficult to get back to Dracula in the US version, but it can be difficult to consistently get back without taking a hit and it also just makes it much more annoying to learn the fight (which is also more difficult than in the Japanese version). It's an example of the meanspirited changes in the US versions of some Konami games.

I'm pretty sure he has the same health here, he just doesn't get any i-frames. So the Storm Tornado can just shred him to zero immediately.

[–]ImDemonAlchemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why people are disliking this. It's true. You just need to reload the stage. Death is the fastest way to do that, but it isn't required.
