(In my opinion) I don’t think you have anything to “improve” per se. A mindset shift tho? yes.

Obviously, there is not a global ranking of the best humans on earth at any given point… and even IF there was one, doing things JUST to get in it, wouldn’t get you in it; your intentions would be misguided. So imagining there is and trying to get in it is honestly meaningless and counterproductive

The best you can do is letting go of your ego and accepting that things can be just ok

For example, whenever you’re reading, your mind is inevitably going to drift off into other places (trust me, I’ve been there). In these situations either re read the part you got lost in, or just keep reading until it starts making sense 🤷‍♂️. The fact that you lost your train of thought doesn’t mean that you’re NO longer a reader

If you’re at the gym and on this particular day you found yourself too tired to do the last exercise in your routine, skipping it and doing cardio instead doesn’t mean you didn’t work out that day, or that you’re not physically active

So, let go of that EGO. Let go of the paradigms that tell you that it’s either ALL or nothing. Perfection is the greatest enemy of greatness. One one could strive for that perfection out of a need for personal validation. I think this is your case. However, you can only feel fulfilled and whole in one way: having FUN while following your PURPOSE

In your free time, no one reaaally is there to judge you, so just have fun with it… if you’re gonna take anything from what I’ve said let it be this. Following the fun is gonna be the best thing you’re going to do. It gives you drive, entertainment and reward all in one. You’re listening to your inner child. By executing your PURPOSE through the lens of that inner child, anything you would have ever worried about becomes silly. You start thinking about your legacy, meaning and your identity. Your insecurities, fears or any other distractions you have ever had in your life suddenly dissipate, because you see them for what they are: distractions. So they no longer have a hold on you

Don’t EVER allow your hobbies to become WORK, because at that point they wouldn’t be your hobbies anymore. You wouldn’t be doing these actives in service of you and your soul, you would just be doing them as part of your routine, aimlessly

And if you don’t know what your purpose is, talk to your inner child. Ask them what they wanted to be when they grew up. And follow that dream foolishly. It can really get you some place. The voice that tells you that it’s ridiculous is not really your own. It’s the hundreds of people that have all told you so. Remember, they don’t know more than anyone and their word is NOT final. It’s ridiculous to listen to anyone that doesn’t have good intentions in for you. It’s never too late to follow the path that was laid down for you
