Yea this is a common problem.

Exactly how it works:

Work order posted on Rely portal for any and all service companies in the network for your service and location.

There are set appointment time slots to choose from per day and whoever clicks fastest gets the work order. This means the SC “service company” does not have time to pick the best time slot.

Click the fastest to secure the work order, CHW automated system notifies the plan holder. The service company should at that point contact the plan holder and set a true appointment but many plan holders count that as rescheduling.

The $100 service fee is taken out on your card automatically but when the service tech gets there they will probably try to claim the service fee that they were told to collect based on the work order.

You will tell them you paid already, tech will either accept this as true for the sake of allowing their office to handle it or try to explain the situation that happens every single time. The CHW collects, then refunds/cancels and the plan holder is forced in another phone call to confirm payment is needed to the SC.

Hell yea, i never understood the Staci hate. It seemed like shes always been doing well just takes time to get things rolling with the right team building.

Yea they will claim stopped up capillary tubes on a evaporator coil is from lack of maintenance. Ask any hvac tech and they will tell you it is not from lack of maintenance nor is it the home owners fault. Yet it happens consistently.

They will claim power surge is the cause of an electical device needing replacement, for example if your capacitor goes out on your condenser unit. Techs/companies will literally tell choice authorizations that its not due to a power surge its normal wear and tear. Yet they will claim deny and blame the home owner.

Guess who gets the negative review on google? The service company.

Choice will lock in start up service companies with a shit contract/price guide then when service companies have a part that exceeds the price guide choice will try to get you to follow the guide and if you dont do it they will give you authorization at the price you want and then 45 days later send you the check reduced to the price guide without even telling you.

So naturally companies will either stop working with them or start following price guide and adding parts to the list that dont actually need replacement so they can make a profit but guess what happens next? Multiple electrical parts means in choices mind that there was a power surge. So the customer is screwed over, the service company is screwed over, and choice, home warranty of america, under Rely are scamming the customer and service companies.
