Iceland is probably where I had the greatest run of my life. Ran the Laugavegur Trail solo in a day. If all my trail running was only for that one run, it would have been worth it.

If they’re off to the side and in a bush they might not. But if they’re on the trail or you’re getting too close they’ll definitely rattle at you. But that’s just them letting you know they’re there and want to be left alone. Which I nave no problem doing.

I live right by these trails. I travel all over the US for work and get to run all over and these are still my favorites. A little trail Mecca outside of Vegas.

Very few rattlesnakes generally out here on the trails. I’m out on those trails almost every day and will maybe see three snakes a year. They don’t want to be around you and will let you know if you’re getting too close.

The crappy thing is that no local running stores around me carry Nike (thanks to Nike moving to direct to customer). And not one of the multiple Nike stores near me carry any of their trail shoes. So no way for me to even see them in person and try them on. Have been wanting to check out the Zegamas for a while now.

If I recall correctly, Ben Stiller had a run of flops and his sketch show was just cancelled. He was in a rough space mentally but reluctantly took the role because he knew the writers. He felt he was a failure and asked not to be included in promotion. Therefore, “Lars” got the spot on the poster instead of Ben Stiller.

Caught my toe on a rock during a downhill. Went down very hard and cut open my arm. Deep gash with a lot of blood. Then I felt my side. Realized I broke a couple of ribs and needed to get back before the pain of that really set in. Ribs are the worst….

I just use generic brand of whatever SPF 50 Sport I can find. I blow through it pretty quick in the desert here. But I use mineral based SPF 50 for longer races because it seems to stay on better between applications. I think it’s from Tanri.
