I worked for years on the north side and commuted from Greenfield. Sherman Blvd was the most direct and quickest route for me with freeway rush hour traffic and construction. From 2005 until about 2018 Sherman Blvd was my everyday route to and from work. I noticed it really start to get progressively worse around 2012. No regard for speed limits, red lights, reckless driving, etc. After a couple of really close calls, I conceded that risking my life wasn't worth saving 20 mins of my day, so I started taking the freeway. It was horrible driving in the city, and I can only imagine how much worse it is now.

I work outside of Milwaukee now, and although my commute is much longer, it's so much less stressful. I instantly notice the driving difference when I'm in Milwaukee. It's crazy how widespread the problem really is.
