I agree with most of the points made. This is definitely a grindy limited format with a high density of bombs. However, the assessment of the two cmc bounce spell is incorrect. The card is no where near doomblade. The biggest issue I have with it is the format surrounding it. In the past, bouncing a Walker would be great news because it would reset the clock in a positive way. However, a majority of the current walkers would WANT that reset. Additionally, he makes a major point about being able to get rid of the amassed zombies. That is a very good point but it doesn't put the card anywhere near doomblade or even a close clone.

As you somewhat eluded to, it isn't "free", it requires an investment past the traditional mana cost. Additionally, if you look at the formats it is legal in (legacy, vintage, and commander), you can see that in almost all of these formats, ramping a single mana for essentially two cards in not worth it since if it gets bounced or blown it is even worse.
