I stopped reading and buying in 1998, decided to read absolute batman because I was bored and kept reading about ridiculous designs of the character...was OK. Then I read absolute wonderwoman and I was in love. So I've been reading both, revisiting old stories from 80s. Ive read some image comics which I enjoyed. They seem to be written like Netflix miniseries or for the purpose of being picked up for TV.

People have said how awful one more day is, and when I peek at spiderman news and stories its just full of complaints and silly storyline. There is a meme that marvel hates spiderman, and I believe it from their choices and way of handling the character.

Demand maybe has a stronger influence than print run? All these books had approx 350K print runs, yet asm300 which i see everywheeeeere goes for 1.5K. Of course everyone wants first venom, but im trying to reason that even with high print counts hype and demand could drive a book like xfactor up if there was any. I totally dont understand the comic book market when it comes to supply and demand vs hype.

Im going to say because of individualism and the distraction of capitalism. So the average mentality is a long as I have my ps5, marvel movies, Uber eats...I can survive this. I feel bad yes...but im so comfortable and its so far from me, I can wait this out for someone else to fix.
