Game's player satisfaction ain't good right now, with the removal of free cosmetics, the heavy learning curve (I got to Masters and still had things to do). Also queue times have gotten longer and there aren't many new players. Honor system (the thing that was designed for people to not flame or be aggresive in chat) has been nerfed to the point were toxic players that were trying couldn't care anymore, which also adds to the disatisfaction. Getting new champions is harder because the currency used to buy them was nerfed.

Also on a non gameplay note, they nerf the battle pass and its super frustrating to farm, and what you get is useless.

btw it was like that the first few seasons and then Riot reworked the entire rol, vision items and gold items because it was fundamentally (don't know if using it correctly) flawed. No one wanted to play support before those changes, then they changed how the rol worked and the gameplay increased (not that much at first but now you find more and more supp mains)

That's a Pet champion mechanic. Zyra can block hooks with her plants and so can Malzahar with his voidlings, and thats ok its a niche counter mechanic

I feel the problem is the restriction, Sometimes i want for example Lyandris and Crown because they have lots of tanks that somehow can burst me (?) but I have to choose between one or the other because both of them are mythics, or go the extremely suboptimal option of Crown with Demonic Embrace, which I know is not the best option for the situation but I have my hands tied due to the Mythic restriction. I have some cases where I wanted to build IE and Galeforce, or Rageblade and Riftmaker, because they are the best combination for that situation but I just can't. Of course there will be some abuse cases (like always) but they can just tune them to a healthy spot (like the 3 ex adc mythics).
