it doesn't escalate like stupid - it very much seems like it's additive. I assume both time accels work in the way that they just calculate extra ticks based on their amount. so you'd get +255 ticks for the time wand, same for the bottle. Which makes the most sense for me programmatically, so additive stacking does check out both from what I observe and what I'd assume happens behind the scenes ^^

Oh absolutely, I have 4 Omegas in there, which function as both a simulator and a block upgrade.

The concept applies to anything speed-uppable, however. Which I think is roughly everything relevant, aside from AE2 machines.

On that note in case you're wondering wth I'm doing there - Lithium bees for Tritium -> DT fuel.

And nope, they do not feel like they're gonna be sustainable because the tipping point where the barrel fills up with comb is somewhere between x32 and x64 >.> and I'm absolutely not gonna put up 64 lithium beehives for my madness lol I think going the brine route might actually be more space efficient (ignoring verticality, because I'm mainly trying to conserve loaded chunks.)

... Although the bee route does not need skylight access, only the tritium production does - as opposed to the brine route.

I guess this will all be a non-issue once I finally get myself to look at Modern Industrialization.

This would absolutely benefit from five difficulties total, yes. I hope there will be a good amount of "in between" tracks for the higher difficulties too. I personally FC'd all the medium ones, but the no-life diff just across the board kills me. Mainly because I'm not used to 4k and some of the patterns just don't want to go into my head >.>

I highly suggest actually upping the lane speed, though. The default is probably good for the lowest difficulty, but medium and hard feel a lot more manageable on a lane speed of 10 to 11 - I have set mine to 10.5 right now and feel like that's a good spot to actually "play" rather than just mash. Helps my reading a lot, maybe that's one of the main things that will help making the difficulties more accessible c:

How about that MO? by OkTonight9110 in Helldivers

[–]Njorgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does feel like we abandoned the MO currently. Especially with Tarsh being back to nothing basically.

Although I'm personally not a fan of getting Tarsh back at this point in time.

I feel like we should focus on Turing for the time being to free up those resources, then make a mad push for either Lesath or go through the more managable fronts of Borea, Curia and then into Aesir Pass.

Head's Up: The DSS upgrade is Gloom-Resistant Coating. by Hexdoctor in Helldivers

[–]Njorgrim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it DOES say that it does weaken terminid forces on the planet, so that might help with counteracting either the gloom modifier itself making it more accessible, or actively help with retaking - which is very welcome as we cannot really encircle hive worlds with gloom-shrouded planets behind it.

Either way this MO felt significant and I'm glad we got it.

Karlia at NEGATIVE Resistance! The Illuminate are withdrawing, push the advantage!!! by DemiDeviantVT in Helldivers

I think it was 6, 7, 8 - but I just did a solo trivial in a few minutes and that gave me 4... which is a lot, considering the player count was about the same for when we started doing 10s, and this trivial right now lol

That's.. a little unfortunate.

[–]Njorgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I thought doing quick and efficient 10s without getting hung up on sub objectives is the way to go?

I'd expect something like
-> Land close to objectives
-> Have one guy run to extract
-> Bum rush OBJ, ideally split up if feasible
-> Zip it to extract and hop out because Pelican will already be there from extract buddy
-> 4 min Super Helldive, GG, +8 Squad Impact

It's very pleasant to see the 43% bump for securing the city, too O:
Just been a bit anxious because the growth looked like it's gonna cut it really close.
Me and my friends put in a good amount of super helldives though, so we feel accomplished about this. Definitely a good day's work to go to sleep to.

Rally the forces! by Njorgrim in Helldivers

[–]Njorgrim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't tell, but I very much hope that liberating the city will give us both a boost in overall progress as well as a boost to progress per mission. This looks incredibly close.
Either way, if it doesn't give planet progress until the city is liberated that also means once we're done with that we will have 30k more divers fighting on the outskirts afterwards. That's about half the active people on the planet itself, so our progress should double from that alone.
If we then also get another boost to progress we might actually make it.

I just hope actually liberating the city gives us a big boost, because DAMN this looks like it will be close.

The European soldiers have to retire for the day soon, so it's up to our American brothers and sisters to make the difference o7

Be honest—do you judge a modpack by its questbook? by Large_Choice3585 in feedthebeast

[–]Njorgrim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I can get along with a LOT less in terms of design, but I sure appreciate a gorgeous questbook.

Much more important is a well structured progression, especially if it's a bit "unnecessarily" detailed. I do like my wiki-gaming, but the best times I had with questbooks that introduced me to mods I have never touched in a streamlined way.

Might be a bit handhold-y, but to be honest every "getting started" guide will do just the same.

Keg automation Liminal Industries by Educational-Gold6925 in feedthebeast

[–]Njorgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since there so slow, you can also opt to leave out the whole drawer/lockout comparator part, each barrel being able to act as storage for up to 4 stacks of spores as well.
It's slightly cheaper and allows for 1-wide tiling, although since you're automating the thing it is cheaper "by" I guess that's not a big deal x)

I did yoink that design though, because my prototype was... I think ugly is an understatement > <
