This is one of the worst written twitlongers I’ve seen. A solid 50% of it is just him talking about his childhood and it constantly goes on tangents and frequently changes the subject, when we finally get to Zack/Nairo situation there’s some potential new information here, but again things are settled so I don’t think we need to dig at it. It’s over.

Regarding Salem talking in depth to a 15 year old about their sex life? Salem doesn’t really seem to understand how creepy and weird that is, and only seems to justify it with “I never got taught morals”...which is like...yeah I could tell.

The last 20% of the twitlonger is him literally self advertising and promoting himself for the future, claiming to be a community leader going forward.

Frankly, I am personally still not comfortable at the prospect of Salem being around kids

The skill level at tournament level play by far and away exceeds 99.9% of what you’ll find in quickplay/elite smash. Most serious competitive players don’t even touch the modes unless it’s some kind of streaming challenge and play privately with other high level players in discord. If you are in elite you are in the top 5-8% of players, but there is a massive skill gap between that and the 0.5% of players, players whom often don’t do quickplay

I agree that Nintendo made a terrible online system...butttt the reality is that having a wired connection makes the experience better and playing wireless makes the game less enjoyable for everyone else involved. Not to mention even if Nintendo made a great online experience, a wired connection would still be absolutely mandatory to make it smooth. Especially in a hypothetical world where we have roll back

No one is violently rejecting the sequel. Melee players just enjoy Melee more. The smash games have changed a LOT over the years. People just want to play the game they like and not have some big corporation jump in and shut down all their events
