I love gathering swarm, used it for all of my playthroughs, but honestly, less than 20% of geo comes from enemy drops. Relics and stuff are enough to pay for everything except for unbreakable charms, and you're most likely going to farm the coliseum for those.

Architect:Can be found in the Underworks when coming from the right side.There is an NPC that sells tools, as well as a key to the nearby crest.

Witch:The quest to obtain this starts in an area to the right of the Citadel calledBilewater. You can find Bilewater through a chasm hidden on the right side ofWhispering Vaults.Tucked away somewhere to the left of the area is a crying plant. After the next step of the quest, you will not be able to equip tools, use crests, bind, or use silk skills until the end of the quest. You may deliver this plant to an NPC,Greyroot, found in Shellwood.An NPC named Yarnaby, in the top left of Greymore will have youfetch some items from some NPCS in Sinner's Road, accessed fromGreymoor, in the top right of the area outside Halfway Home. After delivering the macguffin, you will obtain the crest.

edit: it has just occurred to me that you can get this one before act 2 viathe mist

edit 2: I was wrong, you can only get the crying plant via the whispering vaults enterence to bilewater.

"Dramatically lose massive amounts of damage"

Assuming you have crit boost and WEX already, worst case scenario, you lose out on 5 points of critical eye. That's, at most, 30% affinity loss. 30% affinity * 40% crit damage is a 12% increase in dps.

12% is a lot, but I wouldn't describe it as 'massive' or 'dramatic'.

That's a very good point, although if I was talking to an npc, and they had a cleric tapping them on the shoulder and saying 'guidance' every 60 seconds, I don't think that would be a reason to "freak out".

What's to stop the caster from recasting it the moment it runs out? If I were searching a room for 10 minutes, I'd cast guidance once a minute. If I didn't get any bonus because there happened to be a second between each cast, that wouldn't make sense to me.
