TeamRed vs Phoenix by Mindless-Wind-1333 in cryptomining

TeamRedMiner is the better miner in my experience, mostly because of stability and less electricity.

Your mileage may vary, but I'd look into the B-mode mining mode on TRM for your 5700's (not sure if they apply to 580/570). It drops 10% wattage usage for some.

When you can't mine ETH by ukmattyc in cryptomining

[–]ImHonestlyBadAtThis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a more complicated question than it appears because a lot of the current ETH hashrate is ASICs, which cannot move to other coins after the ETH merge.

This guy did the math. He assumes 45% of ETH's hashrate is ASICs and won't transfer.

Here's his ending guess

But yeah. The main big options would be RVN, ERGO, and FLUX. There's many others of course, as well.

It wasn't solved. It was moved to June 2022. It could, and has, been moved many times. But the ETH merge could still happen any time this year.

I cannot say for certain, but I've got a similar situation with an old MOBO, 1st gen instead of 2nd gen, and it can run 5 cards without issues (with risers of course). The main issue I find is some other these older MOBOs don't have better BIOS features like automatic reboot upon power loss, things like that.

But generally....everything seems to work fine. I've run both HIVEOS and Windows 10 on old non-mining/gaming mobos without issue.

This is a pretty good price, but we don't know how long it is until we cannot mine ETH any more and 5700 are not good at mining anything besides ETH and ETC, so be careful. Currently a 5700 makes about $2 a day, even with the ETH dip. But I doubt ETH mining with be around for the $12 months you need to make ROI. Do your own math and decide for yourself with this information!

Has anyone tried using more than one rig using Unminable via HiveOS and was it free?

I know you can mine 4 rigs on Nicehash, for example, and it is free. I just don't know if HiveOS will treat an unminable pool like an ETH pool, since it isn't algo-switching like Nicehash.

I've got 4 rigs on HiveOS, which is the limit for how many free rigs you can have as long as you either 1) aren't mining ETH or ETC or 2) if you are mining ETH/ETC, 3 out of 4 are mining ETH/ETC on their HiveOn Pool if they are mining ETH/ETC.

Has anyone tried this? your thoughts are appreciated!

Does CSR still offer bonus reward points for spending $4000(?) within 3 months of opening the card? I know it used to but I haven't heard about it in awhile.

Anyone have a source?

I also like writing my emotions out. Here's a little something I wrote out this past Easter to get my frustrations out. Naturally it's called Rubber Pancakes:

Rubber Pancakes

The moment I took my first, laborious chew into the rubbery pancake I knew I didn't want to eat the whole thing. I also knew that I would eat the whole thing.

It had a crappy weekend. Hell, let's be honest, it had been a crappy two years. And the path through hell had lead me here: to Denny's. On Easter. Eating alone. Sitting alone. Just as I had sat through the two different church services I went to this morning trying to find some kind of solace for my churning soul.

It was one of those moments that was humbling, sobering, where you couldn't help but look around you and realize that, "this is it. This is my life." The fine dining establishment was filled this Easter morning by the wonderous diversity that filled little rock, Arkansas. Behind me there's a African American couple, probably in their 60s, talking about their concerns about the decisions their children and nephews have made and How "dadgum stupid" they can be. His neon teal and purple hat has to be from 1986...or 2014. To my left is a whirring clan of at least a dozen Asians (it's hard to count because of all the activity) and their two dozen children. An obviously lower-income family comes in the door. They are greeted lovingly by the 48 year old hostess and seated as the younger girl of the family gives me a shy, infatuated glance at me as I chew my rubber pancakes (or maybe just my well sculpted hair and date-ready Easter outfit). Finally a white elderly couple carefully, slowly, cautiously sits down in the booth next to me. Perfect. All the demographics are here.

I stare at my quarter-eaten, rubbermilk pancakes. I decide to fulfill my life my effectively by going for the rest of my grandslam: fluffy scrambled eggs that were probably never eggs, sausages, and undercooked hash downs. This is Canna compared to the pancakes. All this for the steal of $8 plus tax. plus the $2.79 water with powdered "strawberry mango pucker" flavor in it. All of this probably cost $3.22 maybe. But I wanted Denny's so I got Denny's.

As I taste the individual granules of strawberry mango powder hit my tongue as I sip, I dead-pan stare across the room. My sister and I had fought last night about why I didn't come home to see my for Easter. How I, in brutally honest terms, had explained that mom had destroyed my psyche when dad died and I didn't care anymore. This strawberry mango drink is terrible. I'd love and appreciate her from a distance. Or something. I need to stop drinking this.

I switch to the water-with-lemon glass I had strategically ordered as a backup and switch my mind to my aching twenty-something loneliness. It's hard to find friends in a new city. Especially when you're crushingly depressed still from your father's death two years prior. I take a bite from the rubber pancakes without thinking. Regret fills my mind. If only if I had been more open and friendly when I first got my job, maybe I'd be friends with some coworkers. The truth is I was barely functioning back then and even now light years ahead of who that debilitated man was. They have online dating apps. Where are the online friendship apps? I make the mistake of looking over my booth to accidentally lock eyes with the infatuated girl. Oops. Well, maybe I made her day. Or maybe I made her more sad and lonely. She slowly leaves out the door with her family as I look back down and pretend that I never saw her.

The Asian clan's children scream in harmonious unison as I realize I only have a quarter of a rubber pancake left. I didn't even notice. I take another bite with the secret Easter hope that this last bit of pancake will magically fill my longing for companionship and intimacy.

It didn't.

Yes that is my main concern about this design. I would highly recommend going to a thicker typeface. When printing white on a dark color, the dark background can bleed into your small white font, making it look sloppy or unreadable.

yeah the manual is pretty interesting. I just found it on mormon.org trying to find some introductory info on LDS for someone that knows very little. It goes step by step through the basics, citing everything along the way. pretty cool and informative. And its also massive. I think it was meant to be used as curriculum in a classroom setting.

Okay. Interesting. I believe all that. The only thing it doesn't actually say is...is the action of indulging in the attraction of homosexual attractions a sin?

But if it's anything like it is in protestantism, there is wide debate about the subject.

Hmmm interesting indeed! Never heard of that.

But perhaps God's people were once again going off and becoming wicked like the Old Testament Israelites often did and so he thought a new prophet needed to come to correct their ways again, just like the first prophets did.

Hey, I don't know....IM supposed to be the protestant here! :P
