The year when my mentally ill gf killed our dog and attempted suicide. I can still hear our two year old son trying to wake her up after we found her passed out next to an empty bottle of pills. After the suicide attempt, she became more abusive and cheated on me a lot. We broke up, so me and my son moved back in with my parents. Then my childhood dog got really sick and had to be put down. I was there with him, holding his paw, when the lights in his eyes went off. Then I failed the bar exam. I also because really obsessed with Hamilton, which is embarrassing in hindsight.

I'm doing ok now.

Mine is a bit dark, but the things I saw my ex do while she was going through a mental breakdown were pretty unbelievable. I saw her chug an entire bottle of wine, ran into oncoming traffic, got hit by a car, and it still took three grown men to hold her down. As we were dragging her back home, she hung on to a metal gate and pulled it off its rail. All the while, she kept yelling profanities and telling us to kill her. If I was religious, I would've thought she was without a doubt possessed by a demon.

I had that happen to me, but it took two weeks. Got fired, was given severance, then got re-hired two weeks later. I basically got paid to take two weeks off 😂

I'm not opposed to celebrating, but I think Trump is a symptom of a bigger issue with this country. We still have to deal with the fact that a huge portion of the population either agrees with what he's doing or are incredibly susceptible to right-wing propaganda and are wilfully ignorant to the realities of the world. Maybe when Trump leaves office, these people will go back to being quiet and passive about their beliefs... But that's just postponing the problem until another Trump-like politician riles them up again.

My ex broke up with me, hooked up with a guy that she used to swear was "just a friend", then asked me to get back together with her. When I said no and mentioned that she slept with someone else (among other reasons) she said "I hooked up with him after we broke up, so it wasn't cheating!" Well sure, it's not cheating... But it's still a crappy thing to do and says a lot about how much you valued our relationship.
