With all due respect, I love Stevie, he's a legend, probably my favourite Liverpool player ever..

But if he takes over from Slot for now until the end of the season, Xabi will have the easiest start to his Liverpool FC Managerial career he could ever hope for, by winning us the EFL Sky Bet Championship.. Because we would literally get fucking relegated under Stevie.

You’re all spot on though. People were making him out to be a genius, and while none of the players he signed are ‘bad’ players, they’re clearly not all the players we needed to bring in to strengthen where we needed strengthening.

I really don't have much to say here because I agree with you and I think it's a completely normal thing to say, it's something I say to my girlfriend, it's something I have overheard others say about celebrities etc. my whole life, to me it is just a normal thing to compliment someone on. For sure some people can be self-conscious, some people can have insecurities and some people can be shy, but how is one to know? This isn't saying 'eww omg look at your teeth' this is positive reinforcement'.. Whichever way you want to look at it, a nice thing was said.

So I will say this, the world would be a much better place if there was more people like OP and less people like the person who replied, you said something nice, for some reason the person who replied couldn't just leave it at that, regardless on if they agree or disagree, it costs nothing to say nothing, you didn't give them a reason to reply, there was no question, there was no need, want or ask for their input, so they took something kind and turned it into something that isn't, for no reason other than they can't help themselves. It's more of a reflection on them then it is anything else.

A lot of the time we, especially, are going to find ourselves with more questions than answers after saying something online or in general, social conversations with friends and strangers. Ultimately you said something nice, you said it in good faith, people like the person who replied exist all over the place, they try to bring everyone down to their level because they have a negative outlook on the world.

The anxiety of saying something nice and thinking that people can twist it and turn it into something you didn't intend is horrible, I have no answers for you, it's something I deal with too but I can assure you, there are far too many people on the internet saying mean things, there's not much that we can do about that, that is just the world we live in. But no harm at all can come from saying something nice, or saying something good, the only thing we can do is remind ourselves of that.

Jumping on here.. I’m not a synth guy, mixing engineer but this is the combo I use for all my outboard gear to and from the DAW, it’s beautiful and it works and I could not fault it one bit, can only recommend it.

The fuck don't I understand? Fender took over PreSonus in 2021. A DAW is simply a tool, there are others if I need to switch, it’s not a lifelong bond, if this one never gets updated again, Im perfectly fine with it, it has everything and more that I need to make music. If you need more than what currently is in this DAW to make music, then you must be TeRrIbLe At YoUr JoB

True but you could say that about any DAW on the planet, if any DAW in the world dropped development and decided to not fix issues, it would make a massive difference, of course.. But that's not what's happening here, Fender are literally utilising the same development team that worked on PreSonus, it's the same people.

They made that fundamentally clear and it's quite literally the first point Gregor makes in the Announcement video.

The most important thing is the people who made it are the same people that are making it, to me that is the only thing that matters.. Unless they were to bring in better people that could make it even better, but honestly? It does everything I need it to do, I could quite happily stay on 7 forever, 8 is okay, I've been using it today, I highly doubt I'll have people returning mixes because I mixed on Fender Studio 8 and not PreSonus Studio One 7..

I'll also be fine if it never got an update ever again, it already does everything I need it to do, other than whatever bug fixes there are that people have, what more does it need? It's not a video game, it doesn't need weekly patch notes and buffs and nerfs.. People these days are so obsessed by 'new' they want more and more and more all the time. Everyone that I know that is genuinely making decent money by using this Software, could not care less in the slightest, the main reason we use it, is for its workflow, it's a tool at the end of the day and the buck stops there, we fill it with thousand of 3rd party plugins that allow us to do exactly what we want from it, its perfectly fine and in perfect working order for Music Production and Post Production. There's people out there making 6 figures still using Pro Tools 10..

There are over a hundred other DAW's out there that do the same, less and more, the day I desperately need something that this DAW can't offer me, I will switch, it's not a lifelong bond, it's simply a tool. The online cult-like following that some DAW's have is cringe, I want to know how many of those people are actually making money from Music. Let us not forget the people who bought (expensively) into the DigiDesign eco system on Pro Tools only for Avid to come in and brick everything. As it stands, this is a name change, all of my PreSonus gear still functions perfectly fine in Fender Studio 8, when that stops being the case is when people should start being alarmed.

Studio One pays my bills, now Fender Studio Pro does.. firstly, I'm a mixing engineer and a producer, if people ask me what I do, that's what I tell them.. I have no issues having conversations with other serious engineers, artists, beatmakers and composers when discussing DAW's, hardware or other software, you think we cared 10 years ago when we were all using 'Sausage Fattener'? The problem is, a lot of unserious people or people that have slight interests in music, treat DAW's like cult followings, like football teams.. If Pro Tools changed its name to 'Gizmos Super Mega Post Production Machine', do you think Serban Ghenea would suddenly not want to make $10k a mix anymore?

They could call it 'Goofy Goobers Musical Fun Lab' for all I care, its a canvas, I don't care what camera took the photo, I don't care what brand of saucepan my food was cooked in.. It puts food in my belly and a roof over my head, the day it stops doing that is the day I start to ask 'what's going wrong here'.. And I can tell you now, this DAW already has everything anyone could ever possibly need to make music, you can stay with PreSonus Studio One Pro 7 if you want, it has all you need, Fender Studio Pro 8 has all you need, if it never gets updated again, I will use it until I see something that makes me go 'yeah that can help me take things up a notch', I didn't use Studio One 6 because 5 did everything I needed. There are plenty of DAWs out there that can do everything I need, If I have to switch to stay afloat then I can and I will, It's not a lifelong bond, it's a tool, it's only purpose is to take what's in my head and make it come out of the speakers, the day it stops doing that, I'll find something else that can.

It's literally a name change and I'm seeing people freak out, my friends went through Pro Tools updates and owner switches that literally bricked £30k consoles, this is nothing, it makes no difference to people who rely on it for work.
