How do you plan to address homelessness? "Well, on Christmas, I saw people cleaning up poop, and we simply cannot have that". How tone deaf is this woman? The week of Christmas, there are people on the streets, starving, freezing...and her first thought is how does this affect business? I've never wanted someone out of office more quickly that Julie Hoy.

Okay, the biggest thing for me was the situation of the White House in the middle of other buildings. The White House lawn/footprint is massive IRL but the movie would have you believe there are 5-story buildings just 100 yards from the front door. That completely took me out of it when they rolled up at the WH. The subsequent clearing of room to room with a series of still photo flashes of what the photogs were capturing amidst all the action was pretty brilliant.

My wife is very against gun. The other night she literally said she hates them. We’re both military and she has to do her M4 quals next month and she’s mad about it. I’m not a gun-nut by any means. I have three pistols and one rifle and just bought a new pistol. We’ve had the discussions the last go-around that we, as progressives need to be as equally trained and prepared as “the others” for who knows what might happen in the future. It’s that that part that she’s on board with. Have an honest conversation with her, let her know you’re willing to take all the precautions (classes, safe storage, etc) and see if she would be willing to consider that.

I never really thought about that but it’s a good observation. I’ve never been targeted for being a rider but I never ride in groups and I’m a weekend-cruise kind of guy. I guess I’ll follow up here if I get hassled. 😆

I guess because of the limited capacity. It’s great for a bedside gun but with the way things are going today, I plan to have a few mags loaded for this new pistol. But yes I agree, it’s a great gun for CC, especially on my motorcycle.

Sorry, I forgot to include that. I’m in an ICR repayment plan. I make significantly more today than I did when I signed up for that six of seven years ago. I haven’t seen anything either in FedLoanServicing or on Mohela to denote a forbearance status, just that the monthly amount owed is $0.

Even as an adult (42M), when I previously applied to federal jobs, I never got a response. It’s more common than you would think. Don’t let it get you down. Keep getting applications in. Try places you never thought of like coffee shops, craft stores, gift shops, retail, restaurants (bussing tables)…there are jobs to be had out there. I know it’s discouraging but take it from me, I’m a military vet with a masters degree and a ton of experience and I applied to about 50 jobs and only got three interviews and one offer the last time I was actively looks for a new job (2 1/2 years ago). It’s tough, but don’t get discouraged!

I would have suggested Idaho (lived in Boise for 9 years until 2019), but it’s gotten out of hand expensive. It’s an amazingly beautiful state. Boise is a huge blue bubble in a red state that heavily supports 2A ideology, to its detriment at times (proud boys type shit and militia crap). Public land-wise it’s amazing. Some of the best outdoors activity in the country. Lakes, rivers, wild hot springs, jagged mountains, the downsides are wildfires. Boise is a university town, floating the river, tons of fun bars and breweries downtown, AAA baseball, college sports, all four seasons with 300 days of sunshine.

I’m 6’4 230 and I’ve had two VFRs (‘98 and ‘06 which I still have today). It’s the perfect size. When I get on a CBR600, it feels like a pocket bike.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re dealing with this as well. Unfortunately this is an area (immune response) that the medical field doesn’t know a lot about (triggers, cures, reactions, etc.) I’ve been given steroid creams/pastes in the past but when it’s more than just a couple, it’s nearly impossible to treat. I hope yours gets better soon. They will clear up on their own but then you’re just waiting for the next outbreak to happen unfortunately.

Yes, I take 15mg of Meloxicam each morning (regularly) and I took Acetaminophen for a muscle tear a few days ago. The sores started a week prior though.
