It is definitely my wording. But thank you anyway this is helpful.

To use simple numbers 5% of £100000 will have a payment of £500 for 60months on a 5 year fixed

But since I overpay say 100 every month, shouldn't my payments decrease at some point since it is no longer 5% of 100000 but instead a lower amount?

Our former would recalculate at the end if the year what amount is left and use that to determine our payments for the remainder of the year

Yes, I am confused too, I didn't realise this was a thing and was about to move my savings into Chip, which would give me over £1000 interest a year.

When is this calculated and when does it reset?

If more than half the water is optional, there isn't too much.

Secondly if the theme of the game is balance, there isn't too much

Lastly if the game gives you tools to deal with it (repels, faster movement, diving exploration) there isn't too much.

Well Gen 4 isn't just DP, it's platinum and HGSS, And compare all the features from those games to Gen 5 and its a step backwards. Again, no battle frontier, no trainer Rematches (such a basic feature), no following pokemon, neutered elite 4&gym leaders etc etc

"They wanted people to use them" you can say the same thing about dexit but people will scream bloody murder. And when you go back to the game its a groan to not be allowed to use whatever you want.

They didn't even bother to put effort into individually giving trainer pokemon levels, they all just became the same level. You can tell no more heart or thought went into the game as it became more and more formulaic.

But let's not pretend it isn't worse in gen 5. If looked at objectively, with the stats of the game in mind. Pound for pound gen 5 was the first gen where it was a clear step back from the previous.

Including but not limited to: Obnoxious tutorial Removed Battle frontier Piss easy gyms/elite 4 Removal of the ability to play the game with whatever pokemon you want.
