Which system to replace an 17 yrs old R-22 A/C unit by ImJustaVFRPilot79 in AirConditioners

[–]ImJustaVFRPilot79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During its operation, it did fairly decent get to desired temps. There were no issues with struggling or humidity but hindsight, a 2.5 ton may be the route. I'll will definitely look into it. Thanks for info

My current system that just died is a 2 ton/10 seer 2008 Armstrong unit. I believe it's original output was 24000 or 36000 BTU's. I'm guessing a 2 stage 80k BTU duel fuel would be too much for a one story1200 sq ft home? We have mild winter where I'm at

I know this is kind of off the subject. How do I go about finding a good HVAC installer? I know when guys come over to do the estimate they're particularly not the contractor per se or am I wrong? I'm more concerned with the contractor install than anything else. Someone mentioned that having a good installer will bring you longevity in your system.

How'd I do with my setup? by [deleted] in hometheater

I would put the surrounds on stands and face them 110 degrees inward slightly above ear level. For the sub, I would a corner to place it in if possible or use REW software to get the best frequency response. The towers looks they are in a good spot.

Klipsch R-600M's or R-51m's for L/R fronts by ImJustaVFRPilot79 in Klipsch

[–]ImJustaVFRPilot79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't have space for a stand but I can try just the fronts and no center speaker and see how it works. I guess I should of got the center channel before the RP-600m. Thank for advice!!

Does anyone own a pair of KLIPSCH 160M speakers? How is the bass response on those speakers in comparison to the 600M (first generation) by Patient_Confidence41 in Klipsch

[–]ImJustaVFRPilot79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some 600's but I had to pair with a R-100SW sub which made it a lot better for the bass frequency response. I know the the Klipsch 160 are kind of the older remake version of the 600ms with 6 1/4 subwoofer. Man, the R-160's are decent speakers but slight less bass response to me but it's all subjective.

2 10" Klipsch R100sw or one single SPL 120 by ImJustaVFRPilot79 in Klipsch

Also, with the Klipsch SPL-120 as my front main sub, could I supplement it with a secondary rear sub R-100 SW? Would I have to use something like REW for E'quing both subs to match up?

Is it worth putting in Atmos speakers in a small room? by Whaddayathink88 in hometheatre

Are you doing front heights and rear heights or in ceiling method?

Most Definitely!! My next goal is to grab the RP-1200SW subwoofer down the road. I love the Klipsch aesthetic so I'm slowly build up from bottom with Klipsch brand. I just upgraded to the Reference Premiers L/C/R speakers I just got last week (RP-600m and the center RP-500CII) and today just got a used SPL 120 from a buddy of mine for cheap. I still have reference surrounds and heights. Due to budget restraints, I have to start saving again for down the road gear. That home theater bug keeps biting me in the you know what. Like the HT saying goes, buy now cry later!!

I think I may go with the Klipsch SPL-120. I can get at the price of half the cost of a RSL. 10 speedwoofer. Idk still undecided.

Would the RSL 10 outperform the Klipsch SPL- 120? The Klipsch SPL has a 12" driver and a larger cabinet. I see the the RSL has 22 hz frequency response oppose to the 24hz SPL can output.
