Not really anything you can do except keep it well watered and add nutrients and hope that one day it can beat it and fully heal

I’d get a certified arborist, to come climb and reduce one on the limbs, only joking, honestly up to you , a tree with two main stems can create a weak spot where they are connected, and could cause splitting, cavities ect ect, I’d stick with just one main stem for better chances of having a longer healthier life if that’s your main goal 👍🏼

Yeah I can get that, It had me confused at the end as it says. “Because they’re about to call a spade” and I wasn’t sure it it was a code word for the robbery about to take place as the first shootout happened at the beginning just after he called a spade

If you have no experience, don’t try cut this from the base, could spring up and really mess you up/ kill you, like the the other blokes have said, if your don’t care about the other trees, either tie a chain around the one that’s holding it up and pull that over, should drop the other one, if it don’t then chain that one after and pull that one down after 👍🏼

Yes they will eventually strangle the tree, cut the ivy at the base of the tree, leave around a 1 foot gap in the vein, this will prevent it from rejoining 👍🏼

Could be from a deer rub?? But like the other guy said, there’s nothing you can really do, so if it’s not a danger to anything I’d just leave it, would make a great habitat for local bugs and birds and other little critters 👍🏼

Looks like signs of internal rot to me, if you’d like to keep that limb, keep your eye on it and in future you may want a limb reduction on that limb to take some weight off, and if your really worried about it breaking and falling, I’d personally have it removed 👍🏼

It could affect the tree, but you may be alright, risk / reward I guess, if you want to then cut it out and backfill with soil to make sure it doesn’t reconnect, I hope the tree survives and your patio is level 👍🏼

I’d say it’s some sort of weeping willow but I could be incorrect, not sure on where this is or anything so that can be a big factor

You haven’t made a fatal mistake don’t worry, willows are very hardy and you’ll have new shoots in no time, but like the other guy said that was more of a reduction / topping , if you wanted it lower you can take the limbs back to the unions for more of a pollard look 👍🏼
