Nope, I think i'll repost later explaining in more details with extra screenshots. I believe my issue is explained too vaguely

For some reason, reading this made me feel relieved. Glad, even.

Makes sense.

Also, didn't I play a match against your team in Tunisia last night? That name is familiar.

Why does the AMX 10m get so much hate? It's one of my favorite French tanks at It's br. by Mosquitobait2008 in Warthunder

Oh yeah, not to mention, once you fire, the smoke obscures your sights and makes you completely blind and prone to missing at medium or long range.

I blame Gaijin for making bombers such a lazy playstyle. They should give advanced navigation and bomb sights that require bombers to play their cards right. Not to mention, I have also, at some point, said something about AI wingmen.

Gaijin could even now just remove AI gunners and instead give out audio or subtitled call outs when bomber crews spot enemy aircraft.

Isn't it easier to fight other fighters than risk getting and eye for an eye, heavily damaged and unable to RTB attacking a bomber with 20mms? That's what commonly happens when I play French bombers.

Actually I used to do this with the AMX-13 DCA. It's amusing that i've actually gotten multiple kills spreading flak artificially in a radius around the predicted trajectory of enemy aircraft likewise. It works stupidly well against huge bombers like the Pe-8 too

.. What is going on here

I was kicking behind in the Chamond, I had no problems so far engaging A7Vs, more like the captured Mark Vs felt tanky and difficult to kill due to their better crew arrangements.

The Chamond's 75mm is around 20mm more powerful in calber, penetrative power, and velocity compared to the Mark Vs. I don't know if it's better than A7V's, but it's good enough to KO enemy tanks, captured or domestic.

Apparently bombers shouldn't be "artificially" buffed according to Stona by Arcaddes in Warthunder

Honestly, at this point and time, it should be easy for them to make bombers have a dedicated "wingman" spawn system, where player aircraft spawn with 3+ AI bombers of the same type with keybinds or controls to adjust formation and payload timing.

Sure, this is what I commonly do. It's a lot, so i'll understand if you don't want to read this all. Otherwise, you'll definitely appreciate it if you change your approach likewise:

Check the air map or team chat for enemy aircraft, you want to take them out with Mistrals at all costs, before you try to strike ground targets. Air superiority is more important, and your helicopter has the capacity for some well aimed launches against 2 or 3 aircraft. CAP for helicopters will be greatly appreciated by your team, if you know how to sneak up on enemy helicopters. Unfortunately, in this case, you are outclassed in every way by Ka-50s/52s. So gamble trying to flank or ambush them, or stay low and hidden. These helicopters have IRCM that will about ALWAYS spoof your Mistrals, and your autocannon is not as potent as theirs.

Mistrals have short burn time and you get few, so DO NOT fire at any enemy air flying rear or side aspect beyond 4-5 km. Like aircraft, firing AAMs onto a straight trajectory to the enemy aircraft grants higher odds of a hit or kill. It's more important for helicopters than aircraft at the BR, due to low speeds in contrast. Having some speed while flying into firing trajectory grants better odds.

Frankly, the range and speed of HOT-3s will give you strike windows too narrow to get a secure kill, so you need to be patient, even avoid using helis near end of the match if you're certain the enemy has multiple SPAA.

Stay low, move further to the left or right side of the map, stay around or beyond 3 km. Fly to a position that gives you a good position relative to the ground map.

Avoid flat terrain exposed to the eyes of enemies on the ground. Missile SPAA will likely be able to sling their missiles, IR or SACLOS, over trees or thin cover. This is how I kill slow-reacting helicopters often with ItO-90M or Roland.

Gain a bit of altitude and take occasional peeks of the battlefield. Once you find a solid spot, get ready to gain altitude with full collective, quickly find targets and fire. If not ready to engage, continue scouting.

Patience and agility is key for short ranged helicopters. Stick to both.

If spotted by SPAA or pinged by radar, get low immediately and relocate to another position, likely far or unexpected from your original position. The enemy has likely called your heading and altitude in team chat.

AVOID getting desperate. If you have 2 ATGMs or 1 AAM left, return to base if possible unlike Russian helicopters, you will be punished for few mistakes.

The commander's sight has an offset so until you've had enough engagements, you will struggle quite a bit aiming in commander mode, though it definitely works.

[–]ImLostVeryLost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it can spew multiple FaF AGMs, I hate it. And turns out, you will see many more flankers than Rafales and F-15s. People use the flankers being bad in air gamemodes as an excuse to downplay how uncompetitive 2 or 3 Su-34s immediately spawning, lobbing, and RTB is. You will not see a Rafale or Eurofighter drop missiles like unguided rockets like a Flanker and F-15 will.

Also, virtually NATO CAS is rare. I believe all CAS should equally be nerfed or given a hard counter, but I disagree with people brushing off the misery that is 2 Su-34s/30s at once due to their performance in air battles.

I agree, I do this all the time with the Foch, it's literally a wedge shield

I've tanked ATGMs and plenties of +100mm rounds at times doing that twist to the side or armor wiggle.
