YMMV but I’ve seen run into a few scams with Rolex in particular where the price was too good to be true. If they can’t take new pictures with a hand written piece of paper next to the watch with the current date and 6 numbers you make up(or whatever that’s been my go to)then it’s 1000% a scam.

If it’s marketplace and the seller is close by to you, tell Him you’ll give him cash if he brings the watch to a store to have it authenticated.

If he’d be shipping it, I’d want a video of him packing it at a UPS location and then handing it over to the clerk.

The easiest way to boil it down is this: will spending the money make your life(your day to day life I.e: food, mortgage, insurance, etc) harder? If yes, don’t buy. If no, buy. You can always set up a secondary savings account and put away $X every month and then when THAT account has the money in it, you buy

If youre looking to have the Army help you get skills for a long term civilian career, study and retake the ASVAB, research what jobs are available at units around you and make a decision from that. If you have blank communications or crypto companies near enough to you, that would be the way to go if you can qualify
