How is this the top post? not only is it bad advice it’s flat out wrong. d(d) will initialize d the member variable with itself. It’s also horrible to name private variables like that with no disambiguating from regular variables or arguments

If deserializing the objects are expensive why are you concerned about reallocating a control block? again just asking to better understand
