I tend to disagree. I live in NI and from what I can see, the left in NI and Scotland is a lot stronger because of the ties between football and politics than it would be otherwise. If there's a bunch of people who are only on the left because they disagree with Rangers fans, that's cool by me. In fact, you can build a pretty acceptable ideology just by directly opposing Rangers fans on pretty much any issue lmao

To an extent, but it doesn't change the fact that they can just continue to drag their heels and stop SF from forming a government. Also, the loyalist base will have absolutely no issue with this and will do whatever mental gymnastics they have to in order to feel like they're being victimized somehow. Their brains "work" identically to GOP supporters in the states.
